Still get goosebumps...watching him walk off that field in Missoula on that frozen day...I witnessed firsthand one of the greatest at APP play in one of the greatest games I ever saw...ending stung but what a career!

That was one of the greatest football games ever played in my opinion even if we did lose it was lights out on both sides from start to finish.
Good to see AE still in pads and helmet

The play that still jerks my jaw open is the "Nintendo meet Harry Houdini" play against Samford in 2009. I was there and saw it live. Still SMH in admiration.

The comeback at Richmond will always be my favorite.

Re: Armanti
That last play at Montana (I was watching tv) will always live in a "strange" place in my soul - as a player 100 years ago I had played my last games, as a coach I said good-bye to seniors I had coached for 4 years but that last play was hard to explain -it was like something smacked me in the head. It was like I wasn't at all prepared to say I just saw Armanti's last play as a Mountaineer. It was almost too much to fathom...

Re: Armanti
Ya'll kids..... you're trying to praise AE, but you talk about accomplishments from 10 years ago in fcs football, not the fact AE is an incredible athlete competing at the same level as the nfl... oh wait, I guess nfl is more important around the watercooler..... Dude is a freak and made me visit Canada for the first time. Argos won.

Re: Armanti
I remember to this day being in the student section when Elder went down and on came a very small and skinny AE. After that first drive, everyone around me had the oh shit this dude is special look on their face. Boy he did not disappoint anybody. Two national titles as a freshman and sophomore, two time Walter Peyton Award winner as a junior and senior. Greatest upset of all time. The list of memories and accomplishments go on forever. What is most impressive about him is that although the NFL didn't work out, he stayed positive and took a shot with CFL. At 30 years old still making some spectacular plays.

Re: Armanti
I love AE...... But did anyone notice how unclean he caught the ball in some of those highlights? I was impressed with his route running and adjustments to the ball though. I'd love to see him try and get back in the NFL for a few years, but I feel that ship has sailed.
On a side note, I work with the guy that moved into his house in Charlotte. The guy is older and has no ties to App St but says how he loves saying he lives in the house armanti built.

Re: Armanti
Armanti synonymous with our A is THE MOST legendary player ever in our program. We have been fortunate to have a rich tradition with App football and a lot of great players to admire. Not to mention the mere thrill and excitement Armanti provided with his natural talent and style of play, he was an incredible leader, had plenty of moxie, and carried an incredible humble demeanor to boot. Putting records and stats aside, no former nor current App player has/ had as much individual impact on our football program like the legendary Armanti Edwards. He was MONEY!
Call me weird but everytime I think of Clint Eastwood......it reminds me of Armanti Edwards.

Re: Armanti
That was one of the most fun and electric atmospheres I have experienced. Any night game at the Rock is special but that Halloween had just something extra and boy did AE put on a show. In fact I think he just threw another 50 yard TD to Quick!

Re: Armanti
Another favorite, when AE threw a bullet to Matt Cline against Wofford after evading three guys wanting to sack him. AE made both Wofford and Stink look bad.

That was a "sick" play...I remember I could not believe what I just saw when it happened live!
