Re: Baseball v. GA State
C'mon, man. We weren't gonna go unbeaten in the S.Belt. We will, however, win more than last season and finish higher in the standings than last season.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

I don't recall anyone stating we'll go undefeated in conference play this season. Anyway, 3 errors and a goose egg on the scoreboard is definitely what I'd call a bad start, then again maybe I'm wrong.
Looking ahead: Usually we start slow on Fridays, and improve as the weekend progresses (thus far), hopefully the trend continues (minus Fridays that is).

They faced the preseason pitcher of the year, if they can take the next 2 games, then I'll consider it a step up and progress. Let's go App.

I watched the game , the pitcher was impressive, lived up to his billing. Dominant. Let’s take the next two.

My post wasn't intended to be a comment on your post. Just that we should all keep our composure when losing a 2-0 game to a collegiate All-American in our first S.Belt game of the year. We get another shot at 'em tomorrow.
Now, I gotta make an admission here. I'm a recovering firebrand. I've spent most of my life getting red-faced angry at losing in anything...ANYTHING. I still go bonkers when our alma mater loses to teams (in any sport) that I deem to be somehow "beneath us." I also lose it when the Dodgers lose to any team, any time.
I've actually begun to mellow-out in my later years. I've had a lot of practice in accepting defeat in App MBB and MSOC in recent years. I handle it better now than ever before in my life, but my recovery is far from complete. I'm, for instance, still ticked about the Wake FB game. It should have been ours!
Enuff of this. Go Apps, beat Ga State.

Re: Baseball v. GA State
Having a lot of Scotch-Irish ancestry has made me an inpatient type, at least that's my theory. Like 66 I'm not as bad as in the past, but, it's still there. Yesterday was a bad start, however, I expect things to improve as the weekend progresses. Things will work themselves out.
Yes, I too am still ticked about the Wake FB game as well as the Tennesse and Penn State FB games. Since then my recovery is slowly coming along.
