Private parking lots this season

Unread post by biggie » Fri Jul 12, 2019 9:01 pm

Anyone with ideas on good private lots that allow alcohol?

Our big group of friends haven’t had a good place since they closed the gravel lot on the corner of Water and Rivers.

Thanks

I think there is first come first serve parking behind the Turchin Center at the end of Howard St. It fills up quickly.

How about just buying some parking spaces in Health Human Services (HHS) Lot ($20). Tailgate there, and then take the bus and walk to the Stadium. BTW it helps our Athletics/University.

Here's a link to the HHS parking lot information.

Here's a links which maybe helpful for other parking in Boone.

HHS may be a good idea for the first game with our nieghbors to find 2 spots together.

Would prefer to be a little closer to the atmosphere and walk through campus to show all the kids with us that have never been around Boone before.

We have friends whose son is on the team, that park at the Baptist Student Center (right behind Peacock building) for like $25 per game, and reserve their spot for the whole season... We tailgate with them some.... Alcohol is allowed, and restrooms are open to the people there... It was purchased by some guy that owns a sign company (forget his/company's name), and converted to apts., but he still lets BSC use the basement. Anyway, I've always thought parking there was a pretty good deal, and tailgating was great... and just a short walk to Peacock Lot. Also, a first come first serve gravel lot right behind it....

Never tried any of those, figured they were just reserved for the season or taken up at like 7am every game day.

Those spots in that “valley” area behind Boone Saloon have always intrigued me. That might be a good place.

Pretty sure those are the same ones I’m talking about (between Baptist Student Center and King St.)... To biggie: They are not, for the most part, permanently reserved I don’t think. I’ve seen many people pulling up and paying at 12:00 p.m. (in both of those lots). I’ve sometimes scratched my head wondering why I’m at Legends... But I like the tailgating there too, and the easy ingress/egress... Plus it comes with my YC membership...
