No doubt, and regressed significantly.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, 8 wins would be a successful season for this squad.

From what I’ve seen so far this staff is more interested in golf than they are in putting together a decent defensive game plan.

We can only hope to make the championship. Maybe this performance serves as motivation?

All I am going to say is Thank God Mr. Evans showed up.

Alright back to your regularly scheduled overreaction and panic. I'm going to take a hiatus for a while until the toxicity of this board dies down.

Well...Let’s hope Charlotte is better than we thought and they were playing with a chip.

Has anyone read this steamy pile of crap yet?

That Hunter guy needs to stay off the Crack pipe. No way AkeemDavisGaither & Co give up more than 20. I think Charlotte "trick plays" their way to 10 or 17 points, max. Get used to hearing Akeem's name alot tomorrow.
Want to rethink that
Most definitely. Someone please explain why Roof has our LBs tight on the line where they can't roam off like last year. Terrible defensive scheme and game plan by Roof and Co. No excuse. Akeem is one of the best LBs we've had up there and you have him engaging lineman half the time?

Drink need to give roof an ultimatum. That lack of Def won't fly here.

Offense is not a problem. Play calling was very good, but Zac is not right. Heard he has been sick all week....but his footwork is awful and he is lacking confidence. He absolutely dropped some dimes in this game, so we know what he is capable of. Defense on the other hand is a MAJOR concern. Roof is officially on the bubble.

Roof is dead set on playing some hybrid 4-3 with a LB acting as an end/DT and it darn near cost us. He better get over that crap right quick and get back to Mountaneer defense or he’s gonna have a short stay in Boone.

Post Game Quote of the Day:

"Drinkwitz said he didn’t feel a need for urgency against Charlotte"

And, it showed.

From an offensive perspective, especially in the second half, he’s right. Now the other side of the ball...

Yes, from an offensive perspective. However, as the head coach he is responsible for the other side of the ball too.

To be fair, he’s the boss. If there’s anyone I want to see “as cool as a cucumber”, it’s him.

Consistency, stability, calm demeanor, all things I want to see from my HC.

See that smile, Cline? It means sarcasm. I think most everyone on here understands that.

And if I’m misinterpreting your post as sarcasm, then accept my early apology.

I said it before the season and also last week, and I'll say it again. Charlotte is bowl bound this year, and maybe a CUSA title contender.

This was, however, one of those games where I never felt we were in danger of losing and I kept thinking App was about to blow the doors off the Niners but it never happened.

Well that was a game!

My expected score of a 35-14 App win was slightly off. It’s a shame this series is taking such a long break, but look forward to matching up with you guys again.

This was my first game here since the mid 90s. All I’ll say is kudos for what you have built since then. Fans we ran across were nice and we had a great time.

As far as the game goes, seems like each team had their share of mistakes. Our young coaching staff made a few questionable decisions, but it is what it is. Prior to the game I said for us to win we had to not turn the ball over and ST had to show up. We turned the ball over and our ST were awful. Those are the breaks. Given those break downs pretty happy with final score. Looks like we both have some defensive adjustments to make going forward as well.

See ya round appys.
