AROUND #SUNBELTFB
• A light Week 7 schedule for Sun Belt Conference football features some big matchups, headlined by a Sun Belt Football Championship Game rematch between Appalachian State and Louisiana in a Wednesday night showdown on ESPN2. All three games this week are slated for live coverage on the ESPN family of networks.

• This season's matchup between Appalachian State and Louisiana pits the Sun Belt's league’s top two teams in winning percentage, points per game, scoring margin, kickoff return average, punting, red zone touchdowns and fewest sacks allowed.

• Appalachian State remained listed among the teams receiving votes in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches powered by USA Today Sports Top 25 polls this week. The Mountaineers received 61 points in the AP Poll and 49 points in the Amway Coaches Poll. The Mountaineers earned the Sun Belt’s second-ever Top 25 ranking last season – 25th in the Oct. 21, 2018 AP Poll. Appalachian State’s ranking tied the highest-ever ranking for a Sun Belt team with Troy’s ranking of 25th in the Nov. 13, 2016 AP Poll.

• With the 28th-most points in both polls, Appalachian State is the only undefeated team that is not ranked. The Mountaineers have appeared among the teams receiving votes in both polls every week so far this season.

• Appalachian State's 10-game winning streak is tied the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision's third-longest active streak with Florida and sits behind Clemson (20) and Ohio State (12). The Mountaineers are one of 16 teams in the FBS still unbeaten and one of just four schools among the Group of Five conferences without a loss, joining SMU (6-0), Boise State (5-0) and Memphis (5-0).

• The Sun Belt is building on its non-conference success from a year ago with 19 wins and the third-best winning percentage among the Group of Five conferences so far this season.

1. American - 31-13 (.705)
2. Mountain West - 26-16 (.619)
3. Sun Belt - 19-18 (.514)
4. Conference USA - 20-29 (.408)
5. Mid-American - 17-30 (.362)

• Arkansas State senior punter Cody Grace was named Ray Guy Award National Punter of the Week on Oct. 8 and a Ray’s 8 selection on Sept. 30 by the Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award.

- Arkansas State redshirt senior wide receiver Omar Bayless leads the nation in receiving yards per game (140.5), receiving yards (843) and receiving touchdowns (10).
