I think many thought we'd be a wide open, throw it around the field offense under Coach Drink this year. We're really the same run first team that we were last year:

ZT is basically matching his stats from last year:
For all of 2018, he was 159 of 254 (62.6% completions) for 2039 yards (8.0 per pass) 21 TD's, 6 INT's and was sacked 14 times
For 9 games in 2019, he is 148 of 237 (62.4% completions) for 1671 yards (7.1 per pass) 14 TD's, 4 INT's and has been sacked 13 times.

He opened up 2018 with 270 yards against Penn State and 295 (career high) against Charlotte. Since then, he's only eclipsed 200 yards passing 6 times in 18 games:
247 yards against Texas State last year
282 yards against Georgia State last year
224 yards against North Carolina this year
246 yards against Coastal Carolina this year
214 yards against Louisiana-Monroe this year
and 271 against Georgia Southern this year

We have big game capability in the Passing Game, but it's more of an exception than a norm.

This is just anecdotal but it feels like Drink wants to air it out and then there'll be several near interceptions and then he goes conservative and the opposing defense starts stacking the box. Drink also seems to like to slow the game way down when we have a lead early in the 4th quarter. Kinda reminds me of the old Dean Smith 4 corners thing back in the day.
This is just an observation and NOT a criticism or complaint, we're 8-1 with 2 P5 wins and in the hung for another Sun Belt championship. No complaints here, in fact given our coaching staff turnover it's amazing we're having this much success in their first year especially with the starters we lost on defense from last year and the injuries we've had at RB.

Fourth Down Conversion Percentage #1 Nationally 8 successful on 9 attempts 88.9% converted

On the last drive in the 4th quarter in Columbia, you could have sold me that this was our opponents stat against us.

It almost is. While we rank 8th in the nation in stopping teams on 3rd down, we are #105 on 4th Down. Opponents have converted 10 times in 16 attrempts which is a 62.5 conversion rate.

I never thought it would be bad news to back up another team 5 yards on a FG attempt. Then, they go for it on offense and convert the 1st Down.
