Losing Link will be the biggest loss. 2nd biggest loss will be smith. Link is a great recruiter too.

Ok. Quick update: started getting some messages back tonight and sounds like all is good for Clark to be named for tomorrow. No hiccups. I'm thinking DG may be the only thing still fluid. Hearing that Clark is taking his time with the staff picks, we probably won't hear much until after the Bowl game.

He did not. And it was a bit of a goat rodeo. Kids were missing gloves and socks. Our guys persevered, but it was a mess.
Appstatealum, what are you hearing? Hate to hear DJ and Cheese are gone. Once Clark is officially announced will we be hearing of a staff shortly after?

Abnormally quiet today. Haven't been able to get much out of anybody. I had a big office party today, so between cooking and serving my folks, I didn't have much Adam Schefter time. I'm hoping the quiet is good and everything is lined up for tomorrow.

As far as naming staff, I'm guessing he may wait until after the Bowl Game unless he is filling recently vacated spots. He probably is keeping the guys who aren't taking other jobs for the Bowl Game. My guess is he brings some of the 90-00 guys that are currently in the coaching ranks here if we can afford it. I personally would love to see BJM here as DC, and have heard Clark's circle throwing his name around. I think he has a short list already.but focus is on the Bowl game now.
Not to throw water on the party, but nothing is set in stone despite the "Clark is already the HC" articles. My guess is that it's a done deal, but I'll be slightly anxious until I hear an official press conference.

Oh no! We won’t know for sure either due to no announcement needed if he stays. Someone lock him in his office.

Yeah. Link is a nice up and comer, but he was Drink's guy. Justin Watts is a great recruiter, so I'd feel good keeping him.

A lot of people close to the program are surprised by DJ leaving, but two of his top leaders are leaving in Fehr and ADG, so timing is good. I'm guessing he is seizing an opportunity and since Drink is offering him an Asst designation, the money and respect is there. DJ is an APP guy thru and thru, so this probably was a big career decision for him to make.

You're hearing DG is still fluid despite EJ and national guys expecting him to stay?

I have not heard much about DG outside of what we have all heard from Ethan. I did hear the Trustees were going to do whatever it takes to keep him here. I had a pretty reliable source be very vague with me and wouldn't elaborate. Gave me a feeling that DG was still a fluid situation. It may be something, may not. As far as I'm concerned, I want to go with the stuff that is out there and think that DG and Clark will be raising arms in victory next Saturday.

If I remember correctly, aside from Satt, we were only down Brown and Ponce for last year's bowl game, right? Just wondering if Drink might be waiting till after NOLA to take some more...

It’s all I have man, no insider information from me. But if he was leaving I don’t think he would have responded at all.
