The only thing I deduced from that video is that Drinkwitz is a cheeseball.

If he had 1/3 that much passion for App, we may have beat Ga Southern.
The fact we never saw an emotion from him close to this shows he wasnt fully committed to App.
Don’t know anything about the player, but it was just a 3* recruit. I’m sure he is a good player, but it’s not liked he is the #1 overall recruit in the class

This is in Other School's Athletics as it should be and I got no problem with that.

Personally, the only thing about Mizzou I care about is D.J. Smith.

How many of us were inside the Athletics Center 24/7? To watch that clip and then deduce that he never showed emotion or he wasn't fully committed to App is unfair. But, if that gives you another excuse as to why GS won that game, good for you.

If I didn't know better, I would think he was on street drugs. Too, looks like he is off Diet Mountain Dews as he seems to be getting a bit of a paunch. lol

So I’m confused. He was a recruit or on our roster?

True, but as many times as he had a camera in his face the (almost) year he was here, I never saw this much excitement or emotion. He was always 1-0, room for improvement, Sutton needs to work harder in practice... He has been at Mizzou what, 2 months now, and gets that excited over a 3 star recruit in the SEC.
Citing a lack of excitement and passion is in no way “another excuse” for app losing the game. We were flat out man handled for 3+ quarters. But look at the way Ga South was conducting business on the sidelines in comparison to how App looked. Flat, uninterested; those are FACTS that in no way make me feel better.
If defending a guy who had nothing other than the first ticket out of here to a bigger payday on his mind makes you feel superior, “good for you”

Come on, folks. There is a difference is press conference persona where he is talking about game prep vs. a miscellaneous recruiting video. We never saw him complete a recruiting cycle at App so we really don't have anything to compare this with. His approach to games was a "business as usual" approach and he wasn't big on leveraging emotion or hype. I doubt we see anything different.

I think that BAU approach lost us the GS game, along with some other factors. He underestimated a rivalry and the impact that would have on the game. That said, the BAU approach is a valid approach and it delivered a 13-1 season. Fans want an excuse to dislike him because they feel betrayed, but in all the player interviews I've heard since his departure, I haven't heard a single player who begrudged him his decision....not even a hint. I take that as a sign of maturity and class in our players but also that, in the end, he was a good coach who has the loyalty of his players.

It's time to let go and focus on our future with Coach Clark. Good luck, Coach Drinkwitz. Congrats on your recruit.

If we have a player run program, like many like to say, we can’t then turn around and blame a coach for a loss to our biggest rival. And before anyone reads that I’m blaming players, I’m not. We happened to have our worst night on the same night our rivals had their best night, and it still came down to the last minute. Those things happen. The game is played and coached by humans who make mistakes and pull off the improbable. It’s why we watch sports.

In a stroke of good luck on my part, I crossed paths with coach Drinkwitz before a basketball game last season. Our brief encounter came a minute or two after David Baldwin-Griffin publicly announced for us. Drinkwitz’s persona at that moment was very similar to yesterday when Missouri landed a prospect most people projected to Alabama.

This irrational butthurt on Drinkwitz by a sprinkling of our fans is not a good look.

20some mil. guaranteed. congrats coach, and no sarcasm font. He did OK by us and you can't fault the decision he made when presented with that kind of opportunity.

We offered him a PWO as a punt returner. Missouri flipped him.

This is from a USA Today article on recruiting:

Missouri

New coach Eli Drinkwitz made the most of the second signing day and picked up ground on Missouri's rivals in the SEC East. Wide receiver Kris Abrams-Draine bolsters a position group in need of an overhaul. Lexington, Missouri, defensive tackle Montra Edwards could contribute earlier along the interior, though freshmen rarely make waves on the defensive front as freshman. And the coup was cornerback Ennis Rakestraw, who chose Missouri over fellow finalists Texas and Alabama.

Many of the people who rag on Drink the most were some of his biggest defenders before Dec. 8, 2019.

It is something to see App players and staffers dunk on him whenever the chance is given.
