The top player in the state, Tre Henderson from my alma mater, Hopewell, has announced he is not playing. He’s an Ohio State commit.

I think he’s on track to graduate at the end of the first semester.

Well, the football season would end May 1, and spring sports start April 26th. Not too bad. They're reducing the scheduled games for all sports. I believe I read in a local newspaper that football wouldn't even be doing the standard playoff format and more of a bowl type system (Not sure how that will work). I would think that most football players in Virginia that have already committed will not play in the spring. It's too risky that close to the start of the 2021 season. I am glad though that they are giving student athletes some type of season though, especially for the seniors.

TSSAA announced yesterday that Tennessee H.S. football season will begin as scheduled. Quite the contrast between the two states.

Given that many of the larger school divisions are starting the year remotely, it might prove difficult to conduct practices.

Yep - I saw where your guy going to Ohio State would sit out -- I think guys who are satisfied with the offers they have and will be able to sign in Nov probably will set out a spring season -
