Re: Schedule
Rolling out a new brand is always dicey, as you guys well know, and there has not been universal love right out of the gate among our fans either, but the CLT has been the most quickly accepted part. We have seen this used for years, but now it is official. The NBA does this, but the Hornets use CHA which has not caught on, and the Charlotte Football Club (MLS) is using CLT in their just announced logo. I like it. We will see how it trends.

Re: Schedule
There is a very obvious joke there about how this particular rebrand is easy to miss. Not everyone can find it.
But I won't do that joke. This is a family website.

Re: Schedule
I can only think of the shorthand name for a part of a women's anatomy that women seem to enjoy when I see CLT. In my head I pronounce the abbreviation the same way.Nugget49 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 11:29 amRolling out a new brand is always dicey, as you guys well know, and there has not been universal love right out of the gate among our fans either, but the CLT has been the most quickly accepted part. Not a bad thing, in and of itself, but I am not focusing on UNCC athletics or pro sports when I see CLT. My mind is somewhere else to be honest.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

No offense but I am not super excited about UNCC again this year. Better than playing Campbell or not playing at all, but just doesn't get me hyped.

Sales of apparel with this branding on them have plummeted because UNCC fans can never find it.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 2:04 pmI can only think of the shorthand name for a part of a women's anatomy that women seem to enjoy when I see CLT. Re: Schedule
It's a peer conference. I can handle that. If we cannot get ND, or Clemson, I understand the Kullowhee Kitties are interested in an a@@ whoopin.

Re: Schedule
CLT at App on 9/12.
So if we can get past the KBS is the best stadium in the world, and Boone is better than Concord stuff just for a minute, I wonder why we are playing in Boone? Unlike us, our ADs are professionals and there had to be some quid pro quo happening here. In you look at alternating sites, it is Charlotte's turn to host. KBS holds more people, but does that matter as much this year? I suspect something got traded to make this happen, which is fine with me since I plan to watch it on TV, but I am curious what it was.
Anyway, I guess you can put us on the list of schools that are not afraid to play you.
