Some on their board are saying we're overrated based on our performance in the Charlotte game. Definitely time to get our stuff together and prove them wrong.

We played in the rain, Marshall had a bye week with the ECU game postponed. Should be a good game...hopefully the guys are getting focused. Saturday's weather is looking good so hopefully that helps.

I like our mindset and motivation for road games. We've actually been a better road than home team recently. Keep the ball off the ground and clean up the special teams and I like us covering.

ZAC is a good QB in the rain. He is an excellent QB in the sun. Virgil will be open with 3 guys on Hennigan

at least Herd fans can clearly see that the Sun Belt is superior to their current conference. I would love to play them every year again...good to read some reasonable thoughts on their message boards unlike one of their delusional C-USA eastern division counterparts.

I never thought there would be a day when I considered the Marshall fan base rational and reasonable, but this is 2020 and the world is frickin crazy. So in that regard, this makes complete sense.app97 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 9:34 amhttps://marshall.forums.rivals.com/thre ... elt.48942/

Team needs to watch some old film from this rivalry. Some of those games were real slobberknockers and it didn't matter who was ranked over the other. Need to clean up the mental mistakes and focus on getting better. Won't be able to be sloppy and beat them

Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
About the time I graduated, I got to sit in the Chancellor's Box in '87 playoff game vs. Marshall, we were #1 seed, we had beaten them earlier in the season, and we were supposed to go to the Potato Bowl in Pocatello, ID. Back in those football days, it was fashionable to get the Bowl Scout's eyes for the fans to throw oranges, tangerines, or whatever on the field at some point. Our fans threw Potatoes, never forget that. Anyway they beat us that day 24-10. Even though we lead the series, sure hope we can even the score for that loss. It saved my parents an expensive graduation gift in plane tickets to get to Idaho.Longrifle28 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 10:54 amTeam needs to watch some old film from this rivalry. Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
If we play like we did Saturday, we will loose.
I don't think we will, those 4 gifts kept that game from being a blow out.
Please someone teach our kickers how to push rather than tackle around the shoulders . . .

If this wasn’t my favorite team on earth I’d probably be laying $100 on App -3.5.

Weather Channel says high temp in Huntington will be 66 Saturday. Low of 45. Can't wait to finally see APP football in person.

Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
Was wind blowing vs UNCC? Seemed every kick to the South EZ was touchback for both teams and not touchbacks towards the North.
