Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
I don't recall but did Marcus Williams, Jr come back in after he pulled up on a big run. Looked like a hammy or a cramp...

Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
He seemed to be in good enough spirits on the sideline immediately after the run, so I'm hoping just a cramp. Hammies take so long to heal up...
Give 'em hell!

Chandler nursing an ankle injury. Riker skyed his kicks well. UNCC returned one to the 25, one to the 22 and we should have stopped the TD. I thought he did a good job.

Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
Last year special teams was really "special", hope Saturdays TD return isn't an omen of a backslide to the FCS days, where we seemed to give up too many KO td returns. Also, hope wet conditions helped cause our fumbles. Winning that battle was a key part in our success last season. We don't won't fumbleitiis to set in.JMappfan5 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 3:22 pmChandler nursing an ankle injury. Riker skyed his kicks well. You should not run into two defenders at the goal line with ball held by one hand under any weather conditions.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 3:42 pmLast year special teams was really "special", hope Saturdays TD return isn't an omen of a backslide to the FCS days, where we seemed to give up too many KO td returns. Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
I saw some of the EKU & Marshall game. EKU looked awful. Marshall looked OK. Their QB Wells had a field day because EKU got no pressure and their DBs werent that good. App got a good rush with just 3 DLs and our DBs are surreal. So Wells is not gonna like the experience.
As to Apps mistakes, all that is fixable.

Like App, Marshall has an experienced OL. Let’s see how much time he has. He may not be the easy pickings some think he will be.

Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
we'll see about that. Marshall probably has a better Oline. Definitely our DBs and Dline are better than EKU and i'm hopeful that Jones will bring a more robust blitz package. Looking for Nick Hampton to get a sack or two. He was close a couple of times against UNCC but took a bad angle or Reynolds was able to evade. Hopefully their QB gets cocky and tries to throw on Jolly a few times.AppAlum1 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 4:58 pmI saw some of the EKU & Marshall game. EKU looked awful. Marshall looked OK. Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
Huh? You think Marshall's O-line is better than App's? Really? What I saw at the EKU game was a bunch of stationary big fat boys. Sort of like ULaLa last year. When there are 3 D-linemen & at least one blitzer coming from different places, we'll see how good they are. Especially when the 3 D-linemen line up spread far apart. That seems to cause lots of problems for big & slow lines. They'd prefer it if we lined up one-on-one so every O-lineman knew who to block. They are just going to have a different challenge tomorrow.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:43 amwe'll see about that. Marshall probably has a better Oline. App's 3 D-lineman got a good rush on Charlotte all day. And, they got at least one sack there at the end of the game. Plus, there was the time Demetrius entertained the RB at the second of the handoff.
I also think Marshall's QB is going to be rattled early. And, yes, I hope he does throw some Jolly's way.
App's O-line gave Thomas so much time last week, he could have posted some on social media before getting rid of the ball.

Re: APP -3.5 vs. Marshall
I heard App -3.5 listed in several weekly previews as a lock. Not surprised the line has moved some. I’m glad the line is close. I want us going in prepped, head on a swivel. And then I want us to rain hell on the Herd.
