What adjustments could we have made, let’s hear it, they beat a depleted team, yes Zac tried to force some things but he is not the reason we lost, NO ONE TO THROW THE BALL TOLongrifle28 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 3:42 pmThe first half game plan didn't work in the second half. They made adjustments we didn't. Too many mistakes for us.
Kudos to Coastal.

I will agree that that continued undisciplined penalty ridden play is on the coaches. Keeping a poorly performing playing in a key position is on the coaches also. But, if our senior qb could just play like he is supposed to play we would have won the game.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 3:52 pmIn a nutshell, today's loss isn't on the coaching staff, I'll leave it at that!!!
Re: Game Day Menu! (and game thread if no one starts one)
Its tough because you definitely don't want to let Thomas play again. It would send a bad message about our culture that we would allow such a thing. I think the right thing to do would be to give it to Huesman. We do need to start preparing for next year...but if we don't win out then we likely won't have enough momentum to maintain the level of our program. So I'd go with Huesman.

I think this goes with not just Zac, but Peterson as well. With Hennigan hurt and Sutton out, Williams is the only receiving threat we have. It's become obvious and it's hurting the QB play and the play calling as well.
The INTs are disheartening though. Those are on Zac.

I saw that once or twice more often it was bad decisions to throw period because guys had people all over them, yea in crunch time we want 100% efficiency and didn’t get it but again our best was not 100% and we were missing weapons, we lost to a good team, we didn’t give it to them

Going to resist the temptation of venting right after a disappointing loss. Beating Stink and winning a lesser bowl game is what’s left. Screw you 2020.

Re: Game Day Menu! (and game thread if no one starts one)
I'm upset we lost but had anticipated it so I'm not as pissed off as I typically would be after a rare App loss.... was much closer than I had anticipated after the poor play calling last week.
Play calling improved on O but it was still way too conservative... too many FGs not enough TDs. Cant put all the blame on this one though on the OC (who I despise) as ZT had a rough game (those of you calling for his head are ridiculous)... and we had way way way too many penalties on both sides of the ball... undisciplined team.. need to address that with coaching or get coaches that can... even the DC did better (never have liked him all that much either) but he at least put more pressure on the QB with some blitzes which he generally doesn't do... still clueless why we let 3 and 8 especially line up 10+yards from the line of scrimmage...just stupid
Season isn't over... championship probably is... but still need to compete and win... it matters... We can NOT lose to the Gnats AGAIN!

Sevens hire fives, but Clark can and will improve.GlassOnion wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 3:41 pmThis is the result of being poached of our coaching talent. Seen it with plenty of G5 teams.

For whatever reason #12 has been making game changing mistakes. If we don’t turn the ball over today we win.The turnovers - the interceptions were on him.Bad quarterback play beat us. Both the Coastal RFr and the Marshall RFr are better QBs. Is he hurt ? I don’t know but he’s not the player he was last year or the year before. I wish it was different.I love the guy but perhaps we would have been better served by #7 today . He’s going to have to turn it around and quick , if he can. “If”.

Our goals definitely changed after today. I’d be pleased if we found a way to win 10. Nothing wrong with that given the turmoil.
I’ll be back next week cheering like always. Go Apps.

I'm upset that we lost, but I'm not that upset because from what I witnessed we were beaten by a better Team.

I disagree. Their quarterback is better than ours. That’s why we lostGreatAppSt wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 4:06 pmI'm upset that we lost, but I'm not that upset because from what I witnessed we were beaten by a better Team.
