A couple of wins in the tournament would go a long ways toward improving the feel of this season. I think Kerns is doing an excellent job. The 19 day unscheduled hiatus really broke the momentum the Apps had building. Hopefully they have it back this Friday. I think we can pick up a couple here and finish with a winning SBC record. GO APPS!

Looks like we may have found another piece to the puzzle in the" X Man".

Getting bumped in round 1 would really leave a bad mouth-feel on the season. Getting at least 1 conference tournament win would be big time momentum. I need to see that and an extension looming for Kerns to really feel great about the direction of this program.

A team who can make a run in a tourney like this is one who has shown signs of getting hot from 3 - this team is capable of that from what I have seen this season - if they do, they can win 2-3 games in a row ---

You are spot on with the 19 day hiatus not being able to practice or play.Yosef84 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 9:57 amA couple of wins in the tournament would go a long ways toward improving the feel of this season. We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Does anybody know the status of James Lewis Jr.? Left early in last weekend’s first game and he is not listed as a projected starter in the “Notes” for the SB Tournament opener with no other status information provided. Having his numbers and physical presence is huge. Hopefully, he’s able to go and contribute.

Re: Sunbelt Tournament Rnd 1 vs Little Rock (3/5 8:30pm)
We are currently favored by 2
This is an interesting matchup. Little Rock should have been the pre season favorites in my opinion but have struggled all year. Their best player Marquis Nowell opted out of the remainder of the season in early February and they have been 1-5 without him.
If we don’t have Lewis, Monyyong could pose a huge threat to us tonight. 12 ppg and 11 rpg, 1.5 bpg he is a true paint clogger and we will need to be able to knock down shots from the perimeter.
I’m not sure we will be able to use the small ball line up we used against southern.
Looking forward to tuning in tonight!

Delph off to a good start. Him and Gregory are going to have to lead us this weekend in my opinion

Announcers are beating the shooting percentage thing absolutely to death. Granted we are shooting the lights out but we are also playing in what looks like a high school gym with no backdrop depth perception issues. Gotta matter.
