I was midway through my (second) senior year. I was part of the "Mountaineer Maniacs" student group - ASU's version of the Cameron Crazies. I got a free t-shirt and prime seating in Varsity Gym. I went to the NCAA Selection Show watch party with the team at a restaurant on Howard Street (can't remember the name) and sat next to assistant coach Houston Fancher. Went to Nashville for the game vs Ohio State and was beside an Arkansas fan (they were in the second game of the session). We agreed to cheer for each other's teams and both of us lost.

We’re indulging at hooters and realized we had not taken into account the time zone change . We left our food ran across town just in time to be down by 15 to OSU. Great memories lol

App had yet to produce a Walter Payton Award winner, Coastal did not have a football team, there were 64 teams in March Madness and I had no idea how sweet 49er tears taste.
