Go undefeated- and maybe, but not guaranteed, get invite to get a NY6 bowl.
Otherwise, it will be bowl somewhere against some G6 opponent. It is what it is. I will get excited to see us in a bowl game..
For me, unless we go undefeated, I focus on the conference and winning the East and hopefully continuing to be the only SBC Championship Game champions in the history of the SBC.
I have made hotel reservations in LaLa as I am optimistic that we win out!!
..Just my perspective on the current state of our conference. I hope the bowl tie-ins and potential opponents can change over time.

Realistically, I would like a match up against a upper tier AAC team. Memphis or UCF would be excellent. Any game other than Montgomery on Christmas or Hawaii. I plan to go, but can't do Christmas Day or Hawaii.

Doesn’t this topic pop up every year about this time? Can’t we always automatically eliminate every P5 conference? Can’t we pretty much eliminate the top 4 if not all of the AAC? Can’t we eliminate Liberty or BYU? Same for the MWC?

Who do we want to play is pretty much irrelevant i believe. We have almost reached a point where you can’t just enjoy each game for what it is because of the CFB playoffs that isn’t a reality and the never ending obsession with a single NY6 bowl game. We have 12 and hopefully 13 games that should just be enjoyable but a couple of losses just points to the inevitable- another mid tier end of season game against a 4 loss MAC or CUSA team in Alabama or Myrtle Beach. Yesterday was a fun 30 minutes of football and I personally just want to win one at a time

Somehow our fans keep getting confused by this. We either win the conference and head to New Orleans to play FAU or lose it and head to Mobile to play Eastern Michigan or something.

Our fans ARE annually confounded by how bowl tie-ins work.

That said, the Sun Belt champion no longer automatically heads to New Orleans, as previously noted on this thread.

It's a little early for this.......but in a perfect world where we win out the SBC championship ......and understanding the current plain.....I would go with Fresno State because they are in similar position as us but getting more rank attention due to the UCLA game.

Will never happen.....but right now I'm 100% with playing Fresno State Bulldogs.

Doesn't the SBC have 5 bowl tie ins (Cure, Mobile, NO, MB, and Camellia)? Looking at the results from yesterday (ULM lost at Texas State, USA lost at Troy) and the remaining schedules of the 5 teams with a shot at getting to six wins (ULM, Troy, USA, Ga St. Tx St), unless one of the top 3 get upset down the stretch, not sure the conference will get 5 bowl eligible teams.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that La could actually lose their last 3 games, go 8-4, still play in the CCG, theoretically win it and go to New Orleans. App can go 10-2, win the CCG and also go to New Orleans. Coastal will probably go 11-1 and end up at the Cure Bowl or another lower tier game probably ranked about 20th. More than likely La wins out, goes 11-1 is also ranked before we beat them and ends up in Mobile or somewhere like that.

The top 3 Belt teams go 11-2 (App), Coastal 11-1 and La 11-2 and we are “rewarded “ with 3 sorry bowls all played prior to Christmas? Hmm
