I love coming on here reading all the sky is falling comments. We started out slow adjusted and won by 21. Be back next week to read the fire everyone comments.

There were definitely some cliff jumpers, but let's not act like our performance was anywhere close to where it should've been. The fair assessment should be that we are all somewhere between the extreme "I'm done with this program" and the "We just didn't want to show Carolina anything....all is well" fans.

The next three weeks are going to be such a mental test for us. You've got the two most hyped games of the season back to back, then go across the country and up another 3000 feet to play At Wyoming who just knocked off Texas Tech. And right now that Wyoming game screams letdown to me coming off the highs of the UNC/ECU duo.

2-2 would be a welcome start heading into conference play. 1-3 ain't out of the question though.
Last time I posted was on the 2023 Football Schedule thread back in Feb. and now someone else has figured it out also. This GW game needed to be in between the UNC-ECU games or between Wyoming and ECU game (emotional spacer), the travel to Wyoming back to Boone then to Monroe for a 12pm start, a trap game waiting to happen I'm afraid.

The admin doesn't control the schedule of SBC games, but the admin does control non conf games.

The 'placement' of games is as important as 'who' you play.

2022 emotional roller coaster of UNC heartbreak and thrill of SEC win took it's toll...should be interesting to watch this 2023 play out.
I didn’t realize that a time for this game had been announced yet.

In NC communicating a threat is a class 1 misdemeanor. It's defined as the following: "§ 14-277.1. Communicating threats.

(a) A person is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor if without lawful authority:

(1) He willfully threatens to physically injure the person or that person's child, sibling, spouse, or dependent or willfully threatens to damage the property of another;

(2) The threat is communicated to the other person, orally, in writing, or by any other means;

(3) The threat is made in a manner and under circumstances which would cause a reasonable person to believe that the threat is likely to be carried out; and

(4) The person threatened believes that the threat will be carried out.

(b) A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor. (1973, c. 1286, s. 11; 1993, c. 539, s. 172; 1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(c); 1999-262, s. 2.)"

Simply telling someone to meet you is pretty vague and no magistrate is going to give a warrant on that. Needs to be specific threats.
With all that being said....folks are still acting a fool and should not type while drinking.

I mean, Burger came out late after halftime and his hand was clearly bandaged. I've jammed and broken fingers and I never got a bandage for a jammed finger.
My understanding is Burger had a temporary rod put in place at halftime prior to surgery..

I have not confirmed this 100% yet, but sounds accurate based on everything else I've heard/been told.
No reason to doubt youbut he just did not give off these vibes on the sideline. Not dissing, just an observation.

Saved my observations until I watched the replay. QB#4 is decisive, has swagger and a cannon. The job is his if I see it correctly. Tackling was inconsistent, at best. Long season unless major improvement there.Ball awareness in our D backfield cost us but improved during the game. Upfront on both sides had me shaking my head -they took it to us. Biggest need for improvement is there.GW is well coached and has a really good FCS roster , including their new QB. We did wear them down as many predicted.Was told Lamb was in the running to be our OC had Ponce stayed in Miami.Our crowd was outstanding.Basketball players have added muscle.Overall I give it a C plus or B minus.

I can see Tre Lamb as an App head coach one day. I got the sense that he was auditioning for a future job.

I've never played a down of football in my life so I only know what I've watched a million times. Taking on a guy running at you full speed and having to make the business decision has to be tough. While it's an aspect of the game I don't think the arm tackles and the attempts to push ball carriers down or out of bounds is by design. As fans we get upset when a player doesn't make that textbook tackle (usually against a larger opponent). For me that is often the difference in games. Do we have guys who will swarm to the ball and make the hard hit or do we have guys who shy away from the contact. We have seen both types over the years at App. If we have too many plays where we are out of position and don't make the effort we are gonna get blitzed.
