Folks, it's OK to critique. Even after a big win. But some here have unrealistic expectations. Think about it:
- When JMU was down by multiple scores at the beginning of the 4th quarter, what did you expect they would do? Lie down and die? That App would pile on the points and win by 3 TDs?
- Did App crap the bed in the 4th quarter? Or did the Dukes play their hearts out and battle back out of desperation, in front of a huge home crowd while shouldering massive expectations?
- When the game went into OT, did we expect our players would fold, like they did in the past five OT games? Yet they found a way to win.
It won't always be pretty...and it will never be perfect. But we're witnessing something that's truly special: watching this team (which, BTW, pretty much everyone left for dead by early October) battle back and turn a very difficult season around. I said it three weeks ago, and I'll say it again: this season reminds me a lot of 2014. There are no guarantees, but we all know what happened after that.
