You couldn't have scripted this better. Screwed up their big day, and beat their entitled asses. They will be screaming about the refs but that is poetic justice after last year.

Perfect storm.

Great thing is that we playing well enough to win the conference, whereas after ODU I wasn’t sure we’d win again

Folks, it's OK to critique. Even after a big win. But some here have unrealistic expectations. Think about it:

• When JMU was down by multiple scores at the beginning of the 4th quarter, what did you expect they would do? Lie down and die? That App would pile on the points and win by 3 TDs?

• Did App crap the bed in the 4th quarter? Or did the Dukes play their hearts out and battle back out of desperation, in front of a huge home crowd while shouldering massive expectations?

• When the game went into OT, did we expect our players would fold, like they did in the past five OT games? Yet they found a way to win.

It won't always be pretty...and it will never be perfect. But we're witnessing something that's truly special: watching this team (which, BTW, pretty much everyone left for dead by early October) battle back and turn a very difficult season around. I said it three weeks ago, and I'll say it again: this season reminds me a lot of 2014. There are no guarantees, but we all know what happened after that.

Football is about statistics taking calculated risks, and having your finger on momentum and the pulse of your team. The best coaches manage this the best. Clark has struggled with this, but he has also shown some signs of understanding it. Moving away from a run first offense and having the ball go through Joey is a great example of it. I also liked the way they handled the final drive before OT where we played conservative to atleast go up 8. Small things rule in football, not depending on big sack on INTs to put teams away late.

It's great to be a Mountaineer. Fabulous game to watch on both sides. I thought for a moment that was a touchback from first angle. Second angle clearly was in, all be it my inches. Glad they signaled TD on initial call. Let's beat Eagles this week. 1-0.

Perfect revenge for JMU against us would be to lose to Coastal

Was thinking the same thing. Visited their board and they still think legal action has a chance of going through to maybe play in a NY6 bowl, but more possibly to play in the Conference Championship Game so I imagine they will go after Coastal hard if no ruling yet. Regardless, what a bunch of whining ninnies. Just what we need, another frivolous lawsuit. Just accept the rules you signed up for and be proud if your situation gets the rule overturned for the future.

If Coastal beats them they wouldn’t go to CCG anyway. However, we need to beat GASO and a JMU win to play in the CCU. I don’t think anything gets through the courts before the CCG, so I’m pulling for JMU and GOAPPSBEATSOUTHERN.

I was having flashbacks to the previous 5 OT losses.... We had to leave for a family dinner so we listened to OT in the car. My son was driving and when we scored the TD ...well....all I can say is there may be a few people on Hwy 150 @ I77 in Mooresville....who heard a complete idiot yelling at the top of his lungs. I almost got out of the car and ran around it. My boys were begging me not to.

The team does seemed to have turned around. They had the talent all year. The difference between this team and that of the first of the season, is that team would lose this close game.

It was a great win and now on the next week! Go JMU. Beat the beach chickens.

Heck of a game. That's the best the defense has played all year. It was nitty and gritty, but we got the job done.

Just finished watching, had some stuff that kept me away from the game, managed to stay off social media and told family to not text me. What a great game, Fuck those guys, I hope they cry relentlessly over the touchdown in OT. GO APP finish strong next week.
