For those unaware, Dortmund is a German soccer club in the Bundesliga. They have the task of trying to keep up with Bayern Munich in Germany which is financially impossible for them. Dortmund continually found themselves losing their young talent to bigger clubs and instead of battling that, leaned into it.
They’ve come to define themselves as THE club in which young potential superstars can develop and launch their career into the stratosphere. They occasionally catch lightning in a bottle and make a run at a title with a team of 18-20 year olds, and the of course lose them all in the transfer window.
We will never keep up with the P2. But we should lean heavy into being their development pipeline.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Appalachian is not for the meek. I have never met anyone that graduated from App that did not like it. If you do not like it in the High Country, you leave. We need a winning football team built around that. It took a long time for Appalachian to win three national championships.
No amount of money will ever get you a team that wins every game if that were the case the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees would never lose.
I think Dowell Loggains has set himself up to do quite well in Boone if he is given the chance and support, he needs to make it happen. I believe he has all of those things. The nicest thing he has, as well as all the other new coaches in North Carolina, is the Circus in Chapell Hill to distract everyone else across the country from what is happening at Appalachian. I like where we are right now. It sucks that we lost a conference game, but we did not lose to Charlotte and that is a plus overall. Yosef just likes Mayonnaise more than Norm.
Technically we did not lose to Southern Miss we lost to Marshall, which sucks even more.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Aguilar’s interception on the slip cannot be held against him. If the receiver had not fell down on the cut, the ball would have been in his hands and that drive would have continued.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Saturday was the biggest game of Joey's life and the kid delivered...in spades.
It's rare to see a QB with that kind of ice water in his veins.
People across the country are surprised at how Joey's performed for the Vols.
I doubt App State fans are surprised.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Obviously it's early days, but at this time one year ago, who would've believed we'd be hearing the words "Joey Aguilar" and "Heisman" even mentioned in the same sentence?
We live in interesting times, muchachos.

In watching their Georgia game, Joey has some really good receivers to throw to

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
It's becoming more evident the RB usage over the last few years has been mismanaged.
Castle ran today in a way I never saw him do so at App. Powerful and full of confidence. He ran like he was afraid to fumble while at App. And considering how easily certain RBs would be thrown in the doghouse for mistakes, its understandable.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Always felt like our RB coach was here for special teams prowess and only coached RBs out of necessity.
Never felt like the group met expectations when you consider cam peoples, Kanye, Marshall etc, Didint like how we rotated by series not who was actually performing, and I hated the doghouse.
