Re: Birmingham Bowl
It only sucks being at 2pm on a Monday. Not sure why they wouldn't do it around 6-8pm.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
They didn't play each other in the regular season, so this is the first conference rematch outside of playoffs since the 70s.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:52 amSince 1979 (outside of playoff bowls), this is only the 2nd time that two teams from the same conference played each other in a bowl game. The only other time was in 2015, Colorado St vs Nevada. At least, that is what AI told me.

I would like to add this Birmingham Bowl trophy to the trophy case. Looks sweet.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Still think they would have better viewership at that time compared to 2 PM on a Monday when people are working

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Reddit is trying to push to make it the highest viewed bowl game outside of the playoff games. I hope it happens, and I hope we lay a whopping the likes the world has never seen in the eagles. Neither is very likely, but I’m planning to go to the mall and sit in Santa’s lap tonight to ask for his assistance
Give 'em hell!

Might be a long shot, but any chance some of our injured guys will be back in time for this?

I don’t know but I think the month off should help Dubinion’s shoulder at the very least to carry the load if needed (depending on Lewis’ portal status of course). Hopefully Hasz can playappstate24 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 10:30 amMight be a long shot, but any chance some of our injured guys will be back in time for this?

Things are very complicated today. Who is in ? Who has already checked out? We may not have a roster for a couple of days.

I've never gotten worse when putting structure time into learning an activity.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 7:44 amI know everyone talks about extra practices, but we practiced in Spring Ball, summer workouts and for 13-14 weeks this season. We have injuries.
Are we going to gain that much from extra practices in the era of the portal?
If the players want to play, then I support it. Life is too short and you only get X amount of times to suit up.
Plus, another game of game management experience for our head coach has to be worth something.
What's the down side to playing this game? Probably the biggest one is someone balls out on TV and gets noticed. I'll take the extra reps and experience for the seniors at that risk.

Agree. There is no tangible downside to playing this game.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 11:27 amI've never gotten worse when putting structure time into learning an activity.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 7:44 amI know everyone talks about extra practices, but we practiced in Spring Ball, summer workouts and for 13-14 weeks this season.
