Re: Scott Satterfield Question and Answer Thread
Coach Satterfield,
Keep up the hard work. Don't listen to all the crazies on the MMB calling for your head. Even though we know that you didn't fumble twice or throw two picks in the red zone, everyone on the MMB believes that you have coached your best players to make these mistakes - it's obvious. I know, it was these same people that said you must use the Freshman QB, but it's okay, it's your fault that the Freshman makes mistakes. Obviously, you continue to run practices in an effort to make sure your players jump offside. We know that there's no way that you ride their butts all week about not doing this and then they still do it. After all, tell any young person what they should do and how they should do it, and they will - 100% of the time. Lastly, you do need to do something about the defense, so please consider the 4-3. Good luck as you grow with this young team.

First and goal from the 9 with 2 TO's and a min to go, playing for the FG is not attacking, with our kicking game it's curling up in a fetal position.
I forgot that from last year. This would be the one I want a response to.

REPORT: Either you are all in or all out. I can't stand fans who only come when everything is great. Guess what people, it is called reality! Teams have up and down years and time. Things happen that are out of the control of many. Life throws you curve balls. If you can't be behind this team and group of coaches....stay at home and sit on your couch! Only TRUE FANS need to be present. Those in the past that leave early even when winning are most likely the same leaving early or not showing up when the going get's tough. How about instead of criticizing , we take a moment to reflect on times in our lives when we were losing, whether at a job, with our family, or in a variety of others ways. What happened if all of those in our support groups left our sides or gave up on us? It is the same dang thing. I am sick of all of this ridicule and bashing of everything. I SAID IT'S GREAT TO BE A MOUNTAINEER! I CHALLENGE MANY OF YOU TO STOP YOUR DEGRADING, RUDE, DISREPSECTFUL COMMENTS AS THEY THE STAFF AND PLAYERS HAVE FAMILIES AND THEY DON'T WANT TO READ THE FILTH AND GARBAGE THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE PUT UP ON TWITTER, CALLED IN ON CALL IN SHOWS, OR POSTED ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD. MOUNTAINEER BORN AND MOUNTAINEED BRED AND WHEN I DIE ILL BE A MOUNTAINEER DEAD...GO APPS!

Re: Scott Satterfield Question and Answer Thread
I understand being mad but some of the comments are not worthy of App fans. It will take some time and I'm not sure we need to change the head coach right now. But I would make a change with Woody right now. The 3-4 and passive zone d ain't cutting it We are all suffering through this season but once we start getting some big linemen we will be back. And Scott does have to account for some bad decisions especially playing for the field goal.
So my questions to Scott are:
On a 1-10 scale how would you rate Woodys performance?
Conversely using the same scale how would you rate your performance?
How long should it take for a coach to get a program competitive before his job would be in jeopardy ?

Miss . St. Just took over the #1 position from Florida St. Miss. St. had not been relevant in college football for some time. It only took Dan Mullen five years to get them there. Patience for the process seems to have worked in Starkeville.Rekdiver wrote:I understand being mad but some of the comments are not worthy of App fans. Re: Scott Satterfield Question and Answer Thread
Anyone out there an expert in rhetoric?
In my opinion, when you look at the things Coach Satterfield is saying in interviews, he's loosing his confidence, which is probably a sign that he's loosing the team.
Last season we were loosing but it seemed like Coach Satterfield always said the right things to the media. He seemed confident and that he had a plan and that things were headed in the right direction. This was while we were loosing to worst teams.
Listen to Coach Satterfield now and he really seems overwhelmed. There have been times this season I have felt like maybe the University should let him go as a service to his personal-health.
I also felt like he called out Coach Nate Woody with his post-game quote about the defense. At the time we hired Coach Woody it seemed more Charlie Cobb's decision than Coach Satterfield. I'm not sure how well they see eye to eye.
So my question to Coach Satterfield is this:
How are things with your soul? In your heart do you still have a passion for being a head coach or do you wish you were the Offense Coordinator for some Conference USA team? Deep down do you believe in the direction the program is going or are you lost?

Re: Scott Satterfield Question and Answer Thread
I have high expectation for both, but the coaching comes first. Their the ones getting paid. Their the grow men who should be having a positive impact on the players. And by the way, none of you will be doing Scott Satterfield a favor by telling him everything's OK. It's not and he won't be around long unless he gets a sense of urgency and gets this fixed. I'm pulling for him but I'm not going to tel him this is OK.BUTCH1991 wrote:MJ1988 wrote:BUTCH1991 wrote:Coach Satterfield,
