Great game for Chapman. Freshman Jeremy Tshongo is really starting to come on strong and was a force in the middle of the field in terms of maintaining possession and controlling the midfield. He should be a real difference maker for us over the next three years.

I thought Howard University was also in the Sunbelt for Soccer. Why are they not in the tournament?

APR...same will be the situation with our Men's Bball...Sun belt has an auto-bid into the NCAA tourney. Not gonna risk losing that with a team that can't go to postseason.AtlantaMountaineer wrote:I thought Howard University was also in the Sunbelt for Soccer. Why are they not in the tournament?

Admittedly, I haven't kept up with soccer as much as I should have but I was shocked to see the teams that are in the conference. I'm amazed that the Deep South schools don't represent

You might be surprised to know that the SEC doesn't sponsor men's soccer.Boonegoon wrote:Admittedly, I haven't kept up with soccer as much as I should have but I was shocked to see the teams that are in the conference. I'm amazed that the Deep South schools don't represent

True. And while some of those teams compete in soccer elsewhere (South Carolina and Kentucky play their men's soccer in CUSA), most of the big SEC schools don't have intercollegiate men's soccer at all.hapapp wrote:You might be surprised to know that the SEC doesn't sponsor men's soccer.Boonegoon wrote:Admittedly, I haven't kept up with soccer as much as I should have but I was shocked to see the teams that are in the conference.
