Assuming Scott takes his most of staff,

Ruffin McNeill as HC
Everett withers or DJ Smith at DC
No to Everett. His heart’s been in Chapel Hill since he was an undergrad.

Why the downers on Shawn? Just wondering. I don't feel strongly about him, but some do.

Fedora. He’s got something to prove and he can coach. Pay him minimum wage until his UNC payout runs out. Invest the difference in program upgrades.
1.pls no
2.As a provision of his payout, he’ll likely be unable to take another job in coaching, otherwise he forfeits the payout. This is why Butch Davis savagely went to work for ESPN and then magically got back into coaching immediately after the UNC payments stopped (loved that).

I believe UNC is on the hook for the difference between pay out and salary.

You are basically correct - he's not *unable* to take another job, just that whatever he makes from it will be subtracted from what UNC owes him. HOWEVER, big difference with Fedora from Davis is that I believe Fedora's clause also applies to broadcasting jobs. (Davis' only applied to coaching. He actually took a job with the Buccaneers but it was conveniently a "consultant" title, so UNC was still on the hook for the whole buyout.)

However this is all moot because you are correct on point #1.

I’m just fully in support of people gaming their UNC contracts in a way to best screw that university and get as much money as possible from them.

I hope we make a better decision than we did with Choke Fox’s extension.

My guess is if he goes to Tech most of staff will follow. If UL then a couple. Please give the S&C coach a raise now!!!!
