If it’s enter portal and commit within a couple days they were definitely in communication prior to entering the portal. Can’t wait to see him play in the SEC! Good luck against Bama/LSU and Georgia.

This entire NIL is total BS!!! Miami Hurricanes have 1 billionaire donor and The "U" can't compete against the likes of Bama, Oklahoma, Texas and other (who have multi-billionaire donors). App State alumni or "friends" will NEVER be able to pay the players like a lot of the P5 school can. It will continue to happen over and over and over again to us and other G5 schools, until the NCAA puts a stop to it.

Yeah, good on the kid for getting himself some money while he can, but him being in uniform for photos on a campus visit and committed 4 days after entering the portal is an hilariously short timeline. That Coastal DE who is very good took weeks in the portal with several major schools trying to land him.

Almost as bad as Bear Alexander (UGA starting DT) announcing during the UGA Spring game he was entering the portal and later that day his family was at the Southern Cal Spring Game. The same day!! Committed to USC the next day. . Started in the natty and had 2 sacks!

The NIL will cost us many a good player we would have held on to in the past. I hope I'm wrong but schools with the most to offer can buy the best teams. No idea if this kid moving on will hurt long term or not but I fear our lack of big donors will kill our program. I personally don't have millions to throw at this. Been thinking this for a while. Just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

Shaedon was good but McLeod is an elite pass rusher on a defense that lacks elite talent. Backing up Hampton last year made his numbers not as eye popping but McLeod is easily a better player and bigger loss in my opinion. McLeod was an absolute game wrecker against A&M last year.

What I hate about NIL (among other things) is that it puts some young people in difficult situations. Some of these young people who don't have much money will make a dumb decision and switch schools for probably a small amount of money relatively speaking. How much is he actually getting? If he genuinely has a chance to play and that can springboard him to the NFL then good luck. If he's bolting for $10k or so and will remain a backup and doesn't do well academically then good luck as well. I really hate that now coaches have to coddle the stars for fear that they will leave.

Just saying for NIL… convince Luke Combs to play an NIL concert at Kidd Brewer. $50 a ticket, Luke keeps 25% 25% goes to cost, players make appearances and take the remaining.
