Maybe we can bring back Buzz again and this time, it will be for real, for real, not a stepping stone.

Murray State is a basketball school in a basketball ball conference. We are a football school in a football conference that is bottom of the barrel in basketball RPI.app97 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 9:31 ammight be problematic, based on his current salary and trajectory for success at Murray State. I mean, Appalachian is a football school, no doubt.
But the OVC is not better in basketball than the Sun Belt.

I hate JMU. I will never say anything positive about that school without including a negative. So yes, I agree that's a pretty cool design, but the court is located in a glorified high school gym.HighlandsApp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 9:24 amJMU has a really cool court design....

I don't see how putting a JMU logo on our court will help but at this point I would try about anything.

I'd take our play by play Randy Jackson or the dude from American Idol at this point. AI Randy would bring media exposure for sure. And that man knows how to assemble a group of talented people.sixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 8:33 amFox needs to go. It's that simple. Randy Jackson could coach these guys better.

Both are one bid leagues regardless. Why would he leave Murray State when they are currently at the top of their conference, have made it to the NCAA tournament, and have been a potential candidate to join the MVC, for a rebuild project like us?ClickClackApp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 11:24 amHighlandsApp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 11:03 amMurray State is a basketball school in a basketball ball conference. Eventually losing becomes the expectation, even among the players. I don’t know if we are there yet but without a turnaround soon , it will be. At that point we are done.

X’s and O’s Are only one aspect of many factors. Some of the best coaches keep things simple, and do just a few things really well, including Roy Williams and Mike Young at wofford. But, they have the other intangibles, such as rapport with the players and making the game fun to play. These are factors that I’m concerned with after observing the current team and the last few years of play.

Re: Time for Change with App State Basketball
I’m almost convinced that defense is not coached at all. I haven’t been overly negative during the Fox regime, but this team almost looks like the worst he’s had although it’s the most talented. We are absolutely awful at defending the 3.

Apps have whittled a 22 point deficit to 4.
