These are all assumptions based upon the figures available to the public and should not be taken as facts:

I don't know, but I would imagine it would be a 10 year bond. Based upon the USA Today numbers the building/facility expenses were $3.6M for 2013, which is a significant increase from 2012. I would assume the money raised from tickets sold to boxes/club level and yes the money from the bank tickets sold were used to pay some of the debt down.

The original amount of the project was $60M, 50% from donations, 50% from fees. We raised ~$20M as of a few months prior to building it, but that was the last number made public via goasu. The actual amount of the projects was north of $60M so the actual amount borrowed is unknown to me.

As to the cost of adding 5k seats. That could be done for a few million, but to do it the right way with a long-term multi-phase approach would be twice the cost.

Do we not have an architect among us to draw up a multi-phase plan?
How much of the "Campaign for Appalachian" funds are set aside for athletics, and will those funds be used to pay down existing debt?
50 million dollars, if I remember correctly but the pie chart is out there somewhere. With the Campaign drawing to a close, we should be just about to ready to improve facilities. For me, the only way to do it right would be to demolish all of the existing stands and start anew. Otherwise we will continue to get a piecemeal, disjointed look. We can get up to 30,000 seats if we horseshoe in the Owens side and that would allow us to still keep the hill for overflow seating.

I'd say the majority of that money will go to fund scholarships and enhance the student athlete experience versus facilities (seating expansions).

A lot of that money may have already been spent. The Campaign for Appalachian has been going on for several years and is an accumulation of all pledges during that time. This is not necessarily a new $50 million.

That is correct the last three (if not four) years of Yosef Club donations is counted in that figure.

I was a bit bored, so I started looking around for information on the '15 Southern Miss game and I found this to be a bit interesting.
Southern Miss and Alabama, which will meet on Sept. 13 at Tuscaloosa, Ala., are in discussions to square off again during the 2015 season, according to a report by The Tuscaloosa News.

However, Southern Miss athletic director Bill McGillis refuted the aforementioned report.

“I’m not sure where that came from,” McGillis told the Hattiesburg American. “We have not talked to Alabama about future scheduling.”

The payout for this year’s contest is set at $1.4 million.

I can take a lot, but one thing I won't take is an interloper telling me what I should and should not accept for my university. Don't insult everyone's intelligence attempting to use a play on words. You have never been in favor of moving up making post after post lamenting the loss of the playoffs, ability to win a national championship, national rankings, losing rivalries with SoCon teams and on and on. It's comical you even attempt to take that position.

I have a lot of friends in Boone but I've yet to meet one who said they know you.

OK, that is it, you have lost all credibility right there. You know now nothing of which you speak. INTERLOPER????? I have met WVA, he is no interloper--opinionated, yes-interloper, NO!
Why can you not have a spirited debate with someone without showing a lack of intellect and stooping to such tactics. Really weak when we are on a fan board and all with the same university.
