Re: App vs Iowa St
We seem to move a lot on O but it doesn't seem to be movement with a purpose. We are running around but they seem to not have a hard time guarding it. When we do have success you see a hard cut or hard pick and roll. Anyone else notice this?

No fluid motion on offense. Get it to 10 then brick two FT’s and jack a quick air ball 3. Come on

Yeah, was pretty impressed first half, definitely some progress made with the team. Games not over yet, but that plus 10 looking spot on

-Too many missed FT’s
-Zero low post presence
-No threat of offense in the half court
-Can’t guard the dribble drive
-We jack 3’s like it’s going outta style
- #1 True Fr. Point Guard looks promising

On a negative note way too many three pointers and defense was not good. On a positive note we found another scorer other than Shabazz in Forrest. If this team could learn to play defense and attack the basket more they could make some noise in the Sunbelt.

Six point loss is not awful. Only had 8 turnovers which is a positive. Shabazz and Forrest can flat out score. Just need to improve the defense and work the ball inside on occasion.

Seems pretty clear the team is built to shoot a lot of 3s. Like it or not that’s where much of the sport is moving. I thought we took too many without attacking first though. Would rather drive and kick than just pass around the perimeter.
Of course, as noted, we didn’t defend well enough to give ourselves a chance. Puts so much pressure on when you have to score almost every possession.

But we are going to be somewhere from okay to pretty good.

This is precisely why so many people have quit posting on this board. Too many trolls masquerading as App fans.proasu89 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 8:56 pmWow!diehardapp18 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 8:39 pmForrest can play

Just looked up the stats. We shot 72% from the stripe. It seemed much worse than that and I would have bet we were in the low 60’s. Would be happy to average 75% for the season.
