Does anyone know what kind of (if any) TV deal the Sunbelt has for football?

They have had an invite for some time. New chancellor just installed and not really in the right political environment now, but this may force their hand.skjellyfetti wrote:Poster on AGS that claims to have a source says JMU will be next invited to the Sun Belt. That would be GREAT news for us.moehler wrote:sorta anticlimatic, after reading the JMU message boards this week with WM leaving the CAA, I convienced we are making the right move, if JMU doesnt get an invite to the SBC, they are probably screwed for a long time, the CAA is crashing and burning, the SC might be next.

What I really meant by the post was that we have not had a single mention for a couple of months now even though they have covered other FCS programs in their other news section on the college football page. There has been no mention of our spring ball starting and definitely no mention of our scrimmage at Ardrey Kell. They've been doing a real good job of ignoring us. I was surprised when I saw they had put a story up.

Guess at would depend. Dont really expect an App/Southern game to be on ESPN1/2 at 8 pm on a Saturday. ESPNU, and regional broadcasts though should be widely available.vegattk wrote:On what day?GlassOnion wrote:2-5 FB games on ESPN and ESPN 2, 5 on ESPNU.dstreet01 wrote:Does anyone know what kind of (if any) TV deal the Sunbelt has for football?

Never know. What if JMU had to join the SoCon because the CAA implodes. I think I would have to chuckle. I would actually love to see them join the SBC with us though, in all honesty.moehler wrote:sorta anticlimatic, after reading the JMU message boards this week with WM leaving the CAA, I convienced we are making the right move, if JMU doesnt get an invite to the SBC, they are probably screwed for a long time, the CAA is crashing and burning, the SC might be next.

I always thought JMU was in the conversation with the Belt along side us...Yosef84 wrote:Never know. What if JMU had to join the SoCon because the CAA implodes. I think I would have to chuckle. It's hard to know what to believe. They have been listed as a school under consideration, but some folks say that they aren't interested and have not pursued the opportunity. Some say they have withdrawn themselves or declined. From App's standpoint, they would be a great add. I shouldn't even comment, because I don't know what to believe.vegattk wrote:I always thought JMU was in the conversation with the Belt along side us...Yosef84 wrote:Never know. Hey, if Georgia Southern is joining a 21st century conference, shouldn't they be forced to AT LEAST run a 20th century offense?
