Evans being like 4th on the RB depth maybe they just want to cut him after he's back from IR? I hope not but it doesn't make too much sense.

Several rules have changed over the last few years regarding injuries. The full explanation I saw on that about 8 who can return is that after four games, a player may be designated to return, which opens a 21-day window during which they can attend practices but are still not counted on the active roster. If they are not activated to the roster during this period, they must remain on IR for the rest of the season. While each player may be designated for return twice a season, a team is allowed just eight returns from IR during the regular season. If a team is in the postseason they will be allowed 10 returns that year also.

Also, last year a team had to either cut a player or waiver/injured like in Cooper's case last year but now they can just put them on IR before the start of season instead of having to take that risk.

We did not have anyone claimed off waivers today but a couple from the Sun Belt did that I remember us playing.

Panthers picked up South Alabama DE Jamie Sheriff.
Chiefs picked up Southern Miss DB Eric Scott

Notable that the Rams picked up the Missouri RB Cody Schrader that walked on at Missouri from D2.

Jalen Virgil is listed with Broncos practice squad on NFL.com but they don't have him on their roster and he was offered by Bills but not listed on their roster yet.

He was expected to sign with Broncos but neither team had reported that they signed him to practice squad by last night. Bills have 16 on their practice squad roster so that means someone originally signed to it will be cut today if Virgil is going to Buffalo.

I noticed that but as of 10:27am today they got him on the active roster. I wonder if it is an error or the reporters got it wrong?

It is weird that everyone is saying practice squad but the actual website has him listed on the active roster. Could be a page glitch or error by the PR department with the website.
