Townes had off-season surgery so he got a late start in camp. I believe Woody said he had really come on strong the last few days of camp so that would likely explain the OR for that spot. I expect to see everyone listed as an OR on the field at some point Saturday.EastHallApp wrote:- By my count, there are 8 first-year players in the 2-deep, including three starters (not counting redshirt freshmen).
- Had the same thoughts as some others mentioned about the OL. Some surprising names there.
- Walton moved to OLB - would seem to speak well for Howard (and maybe Gray?) Not sure about the fact that he's listed OR with Townes, though.
- Agree with Moose that we should take all this info with a grain of salt. Depth chart will likely look different within a couple weeks, if not this Saturday.
One thing I noticed about our O-Line compared to Michigan is if Collins and Corbin start on the right side we average 6-4 297. Michigan's starters average 6-4 299. Now some of the guys behind them give UM an advantage, but the gap has closed quite a bit since 2007. This is a good indication to the direction we are taking with recruiting of big men.
