- Had the same thoughts as some others mentioned about the OL. Some surprising names there.

- Walton moved to OLB - would seem to speak well for Howard (and maybe Gray?) Not sure about the fact that he's listed OR with Townes, though.

- Agree with Moose that we should take all this info with a grain of salt. Depth chart will likely look different within a couple weeks, if not this Saturday.
Townes had off-season surgery so he got a late start in camp. I believe Woody said he had really come on strong the last few days of camp so that would likely explain the OR for that spot. I expect to see everyone listed as an OR on the field at some point Saturday.

One thing I noticed about our O-Line compared to Michigan is if Collins and Corbin start on the right side we average 6-4 297. Michigan's starters average 6-4 299. Now some of the guys behind them give UM an advantage, but the gap has closed quite a bit since 2007. This is a good indication to the direction we are taking with recruiting of big men.

Perhaps they're trying to stagger the depth so we can sustain the same level of play through the entire game in Anne Arbor instead of burning out our true starters in the first half.
We all know that we only played 27 players in 2007. Rarely will any team be able to win a game like that doing that. Perfect storms don't come along all that often. I'm sure Scott is hoping not to have to try that again.

We've got tons of unknowns but we also have, at least on the surface, more depth than then. Will it help us pull out a win or even keep it close? Against many schools the answer would be yes but in this case there are way too many factors to know. Raw emotion can help and hurt. We won't know until around 3:00 Sat which way it is. I always want the Apps to win but personally I'm just going to watch the game, hope we come out with a decent showing, limit the injuries to bumps and bruises, and get a big check. Anything else is whipped cream and a cherry on top.
While we don't have quite the star power in our starting lineup that we had back then we have more depth for sure. I'm leaning towards the thinking we will see closer to 45 players on the field against Michigan because we have so many more bodies who can help us.

I'm with you on the Michigan game. i don't see us winning. I just want a good showing and to stay healthy.

I'm going in hoping for a little better than the UGA game last year. Anything on top of that? I'm taking it to the bank!

Per Tommy Bowman, Marcus Cox practiced in full today for the 1st time since his knee was scoped.

thats step 1. step 2 will be a full practice tomorrow to get an idea of whether he'll play Saturday or not
