Re: Terrance Upshaw
Just for all to know Taylor Lamb has the seventh best QB rating in the ENTIRE country.

Lamb is not the best QB at App, let alone in the Sun Belt. There are a number of QB's that would take our run game and O-line and look better. He could very well be the 3rd best App has by the first of the season next year. Experience is going to be his big advantage.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Perhaps, but at best that's speculation on your part unless you are at practice every day. It's not unheard of for the incumbent QB to be unseated at some point. And by no means is Taylor an All-American but there is little to complain about in how he manages this offense. Experience and an understanding of the offense is a most important quality for the QB to have. He doesn't have to be the most athletic or even have the strongest arm to be the best QB under the circumstances.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
I have no doubt that the coaching staff will put the best QB on the field for every game - the QB who gives App the best chance to win. Anyone who believes otherwise is living in a fantasy land.
It's a whole lot easier to play in mop up duty when there is little to nothing on the line. We've all seen backup after backup come in in the 4th and lead a good drive, only to not be able to get it done in prime time. Not just at App, but at hundreds of other places throughout time.

We have QBs that are faster than Lamb, we have QBs that have stronger arms than Lamb, but I can't stand here today and say we have a better QB than Lamb.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Wouldnt you rather be 10-1 or 11-0? Keep settling and eventually 6-6 will be ok. Always look to improve.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Two questions: how many practices have you seen this season, and what NFL team are you professionally scouting for? Because unless you can answer both of those questions with 1) all of them and 2) one that currently has an all pro QB, then you're spouting nothing more than pure conjecture.ASUTodd wrote:Wouldnt you rather be 10-1 or 11-0? Re: Terrance Upshaw
Apparently ASUTodd has made it his mission to go around to multiple threads that have nothing to do with Lamb and troll, followed by baseless comments about him being the reason we aren't undefeated.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Holy heck Beau.... its a freaking message board... conjecture is what we do. Im entitled to not like Lamb's play, regardless of how great you may or may not think it is. There are lots of Panthers fans that think Cam Newton is the second coming of Christ. I cant stand him either. Its life, its an opinion.BeauFoster wrote:Two questions: how many practices have you seen this season, and what NFL team are you professionally scouting for? Re: Terrance Upshaw
Yes Easthall it is my mission, you figured me out. We arent undefeated because we played the #1 team in the country and then had a gruling 5 games in 18 days. Everyone wants to point out what they believe is this teams weakness and what we can improve on. I personally think Lamb is the weak point. Maybe Im totally wrong, who cares if I am. You guys are also totally within your rights to say im a nitwit. Its how this stuff works.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
If we had a QB on the roster who Satt believed gave us a better chance to win this year, he'd be playing.

Please let these guys know about this! They've obviously been missing what you've seen:ashugh wrote:Lamb is not the best QB at App, let alone in the Sun Belt. Re: Terrance Upshaw
In his two years as starter, he has a 44-16 TD-Int ratio, a 16-6 record, a Sun Belt Rookie of the Year award, is leading the Sun Belt in several categories this year, and is 7th in the entire country in QBR.
If that's not good, I really don't know what is.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Todd, when you were talking about this on the Gameday chat yesterday, I just thought you were a little over-served. Now, I'm not sure what to think. What I do know, and what I said yesterday, is that barring injury, Lamb is the starter for two more games. After that, we'll see, but I expect Lamb to enter 2016 as the starter, and I have no problem with it.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
I had no idea that the second coming of Joe Montana was on the roster. I guess the coaches are keeping him on the bench because they don't want to win. Makes total sense now that I type it out myself.

Re: Terrance Upshaw
Lamb will have to adjust going forward because there's a lot of film on him now. Armanti adjusted, Richie adjusted, others haven't.
