We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Scrimmage Opinions
Does anybody know or did anybody see that new transfer from Oregon at the scrimmage? I'm just wondering how he looked or if he was even on the field or not?

Deano - glad you are part of APPworld now that you are no longer as revered in Chapel Hill --- Just kidding
I think the stats said he had 3 receptions - just spoke with a friend who went to fanfest and he said the thing that impressed him the most about Sumler was that he took a couple of vicious hits and still hung onto the ball ---

Re: Scrimmage Opinions
He had 3 receptions from what I can recall and on every one got hit almost as soon as the ball got to him. Held on to all 3 and popped right back up from some pretty stout hits. He got a lot of work at punt return and kick return and looked pretty comfortable back there. Nothing stands out as far as a great return but they were all pretty solid.Does anybody know or did anybody see that new transfer from Oregon at the scrimmage? His play of the scrimmage was on a fumble in the backfield by one of our running backs. The Defense picked the ball up fumbled it again and again picked it up and ran for the end zone. Sumler came flying ALL THE WAY across the field and knocked the defensive player out of bounds at the 3. Would have easily been a TD without him as no one else was within 15 yards. Was a great play as he was lined up on the opposite side of the field and man he looked so fast closing on the defensive player.

[quote="HansBatichon"]I came away very impressed by Ricky Ferguson. Every time he touched the ball something positive happened. Jones looked good at wideout (besides the fumble). Sumler is definitely a tough kid, he took several solid hits and didn't appear fazed in the least, which is quite positive considering his size. The punt/kickoff coverage is definitely a concern along with the o-line. Jamal and Price seem to have good chemistry, it was clear JJ was looking for Price on every drop back. I'm not terribly confident in the place kicking game, it looked really shaky. Martin looked like his reliable self at punter. Like a previous poster mentioned, I'm not sure how much one could take away from the scrimmage because of the conservative nature of the play-calling. One of the linemen was helped off by a trainer. I never noticed if he got back in the game does anyone know?[/quoute

Re: Scrimmage Opinions
I dont think it matters if he said he was not Hans before or not. Posting under someone elses name is flaky at best, when asked not to, its definately time to change. I think the real Hans has the right to post under his own name if he wants, or to not have anyone post under it if he wants.

He did. Just said he was a huge fan and that was why he picked the name. But I think he should change. I know I would not like someone posting under my name because it's not me.Black Saturday wrote:I think he disclaimed being Hans or Franz, when questioned.

Its been changed. Also can we just lock this up. I see no reason to discuss this any further.
