Anyone else believe that we need to see a little more of Tyler Page on offense? I really am not basing anything on what he did yesterday against an inferior defense but he looks like a playmaker to me. I kept waiting for him to bust one of those 75 punt returns he had yesterday.

Nah. Georgia allowed 17 unanswered points against an unranked Florida. They are a bad team. <sarcasm>Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 6:50 pmI watched 4 quarters and I saw an easy win with many backups getting playing time. Never saw the backer who was there the whole time, stared down 87 then threw on a line. If that ball has any air under it, its 6.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 5:01 amI really liked that we tried new things on offense. I believe we may see some of it again. On certain plays, they may work in the future...it may have been first time execution issues. I looked at it as Coach Clark and OC trying to evolve the offense...
The one item I hope we do not do.. . just my opinion. If I recall correctly, it seems that 3 of QB1 INTs have been to an LB on quick zip pass up the hash marks.. maybe not exact same play but general area. He seems to have an issue in either seeing or reading the LB (JMU, Tx. St and yesterday)...unless we had receiver error on route, I believe we leave that one in the playbook.![]()

So many of the INTs you see in an NFL game are quite similar - QB doesn't see the underneath defender ---

I really love the conversations around comparative results with common opponents. It is as if there is no understanding of variable change that occurs from game to game. Nothing is static. Personnel changes due to injury, matchup differences, weather, affect outcomes.

Exactly. So Marshall beat Notre Dame who beat UNC and Syracuse. Syracuse beat State and barely lost to Clemson...so Marshall should really be ranked like 15th.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 9:24 amI really love the conversations around comparative results with common opponents. Add that we held A&M to one offensive TD. That same A&M team, with the same QB, was 2 yards and one play away from beating #1 Alabama.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 10:17 amExactly. And ODU beat Coastal by 28, GaSt beat ODU by 14 and we beat GaSt by 25 (and by 39 in the last three quarters), so we should beat Coastal by 67 with a running clock in the second half........bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 10:17 amExactly. Re: RMU Discussion
Sounds about right. The transitive property (according to some of our resident experts) should always apply in college football. Campbell beat Bob Morris 41-10 but only beat the Citadel 29-10 but we beat Citadel 49-0. We should have kept the starters in last Saturday to hang 60 on them to keep the stars properly aligned. My head hurts.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 1:35 pmAnd ODU beat Coastal by 28, GaSt beat ODU by 14 and we beat GaSt by 25 (and by 39 in the last three quarters), so we should beat Coastal by 67 with a running clock in the second half........bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 10:17 amExactly. Does the transitive property ever assume nobody ever has a really good day or a really bad day? Does everybody always have a medium day. If only that were the way the world works.

Re: RMU Discussion
I think it’s better than the selective property, where only our faults count and only the other teams assets are taken into account. We are always the shortest leg of the triangle and our opponents are the longest. (Unless, we have already beat them, then they really weren’t as good as advertised in the first place)
