Roll Neers ;)-26
Cowgirls- 23

Hughes kicks a game winner from 50+.

(FWIW I'm not crazy about the "Roll Neers" but, if it draws more eyes and gets more fans engaged, I'm not in a tiff about it!) Go Apps, beat Wyo.

Wyoming holds the ball for a lot of the game, but don't convert it to points against App's defense. App scores easily and quickly and covers the spread.

And I don't think you are overstating that. He has a big leg with the ability to hit beyond 55 yards and he is a two-time All-Mountain West performer. If this game comes down to kicking they have a big advantage there.

If their backup QB plays, I am very confident. The defense is gelling right now and the OL is dominant.

I'll probably be wrong on this one but whatever:

App State - 32

Wyoming - 16

Wyoming goes on to win the MWC giving the Sun Belt and App a premier win on the year, cementing the G5 argument.

In my opinion, this is where we see how good the defense has really adjusted with Sloan. Thus far, in regulation, App is giving up 21 PPG defensively. UNC's offense is quite a bit better from a talent standpoint than Wyoming is as is the defense of UNC. UNC shutdown South Carolina and then held Minnesota to a little over 300 total yards; this after allowing nearly 500 to App. Then we saw how Michigan only achieved 3.7 YPC against ECU while App managed 5.2.

I think this gives us a clue to where App's offense stands going into this game.

The question that will be answered is whether App's rushing defense issue against UNC was really due to scheming to stop Maye or if there is a structural problem there.

Wind will be an issue for both kickers in this game. Whichever QB can really get some RPMs on the ball and whomever has the least predictable of run games will win, I feel like. I also feel like that's App, in a lot of ways. But an efficiently run Pro Style offense, especially in college, can be as confusing as the wishbone considering no one runs it anymore.

I kind of like watching Wyoming because they are like an FBS version of North Dakota State and they run that offense very, very well.
