Is athletics re allocating the tickets allocated by the Charlotte Sports Foundation? Unnecessary if so

Once again our administration is a total embarrassment. How do we get these idiots? They are quick to state why they can't instead of figuring out how we can. "Well that's the way we've always done things and never a problem before".....well this is a neutral site not to mention different dynamics with this venue IDIOTS.RankinApp wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 11:34 amYup, I noped right on out when I saw there was no option to select seats and the additional disclaimer that the ticket office could make contact with seat relocations based on demand and giving level.
Clown level stuff.
Props to Charlotte for doing it right.

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
That would be great if we could sell out the Boise allotment, I know we'll sell out JMUs and probably ODU. How many is Boise granting us?
If you want to go to JMU and ODU get those tickets early as those are smaller stadiums with large season ticket holder fanbases. GA St. tickets aren't hard to come by.

Haven’t heard the official number of tickets we are getting from Boise. Heard the number 1,000 but can’t confirm. I imagine JMU will go next, then ODU. The other two should be easy to get later on.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 2:34 pmThat would be great if we could sell out the Boise allotment, I know we'll sell out JMUs and probably ODU. Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
There aren’t that many $5k and above members, the next tranche is where 80% of the YC members reside.
They are clearly trying to push the $2,500 and $3,500 members up.

Yep. They are trying to get away from the incentives to move up that cost them money. I mean the gift that came with the YC package was very underwhelming. Almost feel like they should go with a $10 gift card with either Alumni Hall or Yosef’s Locker. That encourages spending to buy merchandise that adds to revenue.

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
My roommates and I who are current seniors at App are going down to the game and we’re wondering if anyone could recommend fun bars/restaurants near Bank of America stadium for pregame. Also could anyone enlighten me as to how the parking situation works? Not necessarily looking to get in the best tailgating lot, more so just looking for somewhere to park fairly close to the stadium. Thanks, Roll Neers

Sadly, YC has never done well at providing decent swag to thank donors. It’s a missed opportunity to build brand awareness for YC and reward donors with something meaningful for their contributions to App Athletics. And it wouldn’t have to cost much money to make it happen.

my advice you have 2 good options if you're not going to tailgate I don't recommend going to uptown for food and drinks.rlb7 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 7:23 pmMy roommates and I who are current seniors at App are going down to the game and we’re wondering if anyone could recommend fun bars/restaurants near Bank of America stadium for pregame. 1. drive 321 to 85 get off on Freedom Drive and park somewhere in Wesley Heights (on Freedom) or on W Morehead. There are tons of restaurants and a few breweries happy to give recommendations if you tell me what you are interested in. Then you can walk to BoA. If its anything like the ECU game there will be a ton of people tailgating along the route and you can stop and refresh yourself along the way.
2. Park along the lightrail stop and ride stations. You can either go in South Charlotte to go to southend or loso (lower southend), or north charlotte to go to NoDa or Optimist Park. Different vibes- southend is more finance bro-ey, more chain restaurants (usually upscale chains but chains nonetheless) but some nice breweries also. Noda and Optimist Park is a little edgier, urban and has more local places. Happy to make recommendations here too. Once your done you take the light rail to the Brooklyn Village exit (formerly Stonewall if you are from Charlotte) and walk a few blocks to the stadium.

Park in the Sugar Creek park and ride lot and then take the light rail down to the station. That is so easy, likely a bit cheaper than paying for parking, and not pump as much carbon into the air compared to driving all the stop and go traffic downtown. I did this last time we played at BOA and it worked great.rlb7 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 7:23 pmMy roommates and I who are current seniors at App are going down to the game and we’re wondering if anyone could recommend fun bars/restaurants near Bank of America stadium for pregame. the $$ difference between parking downtown and parking for free at a stop and ride is worth a couple of beers at least.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 11:24 amMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 11:01 amPark in the Sugar Creek park and ride lot and then take the light rail down to the station. Make sure to stop the cows farting too!
That would be enough incentive for me on a college budget.

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
Thats a great incentive. Reducing the amount of “carbon you pump into the air” is a ludicrous and unnecessary thing to mention for two people already carpooling from Boone.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 12:14 pmthe $$ difference between parking downtown and parking for free at a stop and ride is worth a couple of beers at least.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 11:24 amMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 11:01 amPark in the Sugar Creek park and ride lot and then take the light rail down to the station.
