Face it the kids we have (most) don't belong on a college D1,team. And the ones that do dont listen. It's the CAROLINA legacy Capel left us with.

Not sure of your point but he has been the leading scorer on this team the last two years and was a 2nd team All-SBC performer last year.

I don't get that post to you, Hap. You're our "official bearer of bad news". You've seen more than your share of App games.

Just because you are the leading scorer of the team does not mean anything to me. Look at the number of shots, types of shots he takes, when he takes them, and almost all of the decisions he makes late in games. He played "okay" tonight but still took lots of bad shots at bad times off balance with 2 people in his face during a close game with double digits left on the shot clock.

Regarding Eaves, your leading scorer is not necessarily your best player or leader. This team will be tons better without him.

I hold nothing against Frank other than the fact that he's never seen a shot he didn't like. He's too trigger-happy. Our team will be better next season w/o him. Our kids don't know that yet. It'll hit them after they've played three or four games on their upcoming Italy-Slovenia barnstorming tour without him. Other guys will step it up and more than compensate for Frank's loss due to graduation.

One service rated Eaves as a star of today's game--because he scored 11 points. His stat line tells a different story. He was 2 for 10 from the floor (20%) and 0 for 5 from the arc (0%). He dished off 3 assists, but cancelled them with 3 turnovers. He did go 7 for 7 from the FT line. Those aren't exactly all-star stats.

The stats for Jacob Lawson and Jake Babic (finally) were more eye-catching. Babic may be shaking off the ol' sophomore jinx.

I say let's pile on the kid who's been here four years and finally had a chance to play and leads the team in scoring two years running. Some nights he was our only offense. I don't disagree that the team will be better off if they get more balanced scoring like last night. And often times they rely too much on him and he does take some wild, off balance shots but...in addition to his 19 points per game average, he is second in assists per game, third in rebounds, leads the team in free throw percentage, leads the team in minutes played, second in 3 point FG percentage, and first in steals.

I for one, will be saying thanks on Saturday, not good riddance.

Frank is a solid player, but this team is being lead by Shabazz and Lawson right now. Let's hope they can win tomorrow and make the SB tourney. It would be a good way to send these seniors off after all they have been through.

Looking forward I think we have a good group to build off of. We just need to find a big man with some offensive skills to add into the mix.

It's ok to identify a teams weakness and understand which players interact well with others on the court and still be a supporter of the team. I applaud Frank for sticking around and waiting his turn to get minutes. In this day of college basketball, its rare for someone in his shoes to have that patience compared to transferring to another school looking to play.

The thugs comment is too far IMO. Yes there were some bad apples, and yes Capel was a disaster, but in case anyone forgot, the APR numbers his last couple years were much better. If they hadn't been, we'd be ineligible again this year.

You know I'm not questioning your support of the team. You are there every night. I was really just responding to the notion that Capel left Fox a bare cupboard. I do believe the weakness of the team goes well beyond Frank. No one on this team plays especially good defense. For me, that is the most glaring weakness of this team.
