Sorry, don't see it. It's a thread about EKU. Their facilities are going to be discussed. Some people are going to use different language, but I don't see any of that as arrogance on our part. Heck, a lot of the SBC schools (and App fans, too) are calling KBS substandard because of the track. That doesn't make them arrogant for saying the track has to go.

That's fine we don't all have to agree. I just wonder how we would feel if people from the sunbelt were calling KBS an eyesore at that moment in time before we had a desire to be in the sunbelt. That's all.

App seems to be ripe topic for that for a lot of people around the country. Amazing for a school no one knows about, if you ask me. There is a new twitter account up right now called OnlyAtApp @ScrewYosef that appeared today and is trashing us every few minutes. Now either it is an App fan with a sick sense of humor (doubtful) or it is someone from outside who wants to trash us about everything. As 89 said, people say things about KBS. The track, the bleachers, the walkways, etc. We also have said things about Wofford, Elon, Ga Sou and even other schools that were not part of the SoCon. EKU was brought up and so was a topic for discussion. Some people express themselves differently than others and that's just the way it is. I don't much like the things Western fans are saying about us right now and I really don't like people saying F.....App all the time but it doesn't mean we or they are thinking we're high and mighty. It's just the way some people talk.

And FYI...I usually never say things about other schools. I just have to read the comments every day.

If that is the case why do we feel so compelled to grade their facilities. Why have we become so high and mighty that we have to degrade so many schools and programs. Some here have become very arrogant and think we are superior to so many. There is a very large difference between pride and arrogance. It does not reflect well on ASU when we are constantly looking down our noses at others. Many times that leads to a broken nose. I happen to believe we are better than this.

Why would we not be able to critique another school's stadium or facilities? I don't get your point. I'm a huge fan of stadia, and have always considered myself a bit of a sports facilities "expert" (if only by knowledge and not by title) and love reviewing and critiquing, praising and criticizing when warranted, sports facilities of all kinds. This is part of the reason I am a correspondent for Stadium Journey, I simply enjoy writing about stadiums and giving them my thumbs up or thumbs down. Roy Kidd Stadium, at least in my book, gets a big thumbs down! If you have been there you'd know that your "for really no reason at all" comment is way off. It'd take A LOT of work to get it up to FBS scope, IMHO.

Thanks for the comment. I haven't been posting much in other topics recently even though I read everything you guys say. I'm just covered up with this recruiting stuff right now and have to pay close attention to all my searches so I don't miss something. We're all one big family but even then there is the need for the occasional trip behind the woodshed to settle a difference or two. Time honered tradition here in these hills.

EKU's stadium has one thing going for it, 20,000 actually.
It's a big box look. Could easily be improved without a zillion dollars.
No one is pushing them, but would be convenient for our Oly sports.
We do not have any SBC closer, except GaSt.

Ok last comment on the subject (I think ) I feel that my comment is not way off for this reason. My comment of "for no reason" did not refer to the condition of the stadium but to the fact of the need to discredit it when it really has nothing to do with us. I don't know why we can't take the high road and simply say that that stadium would need improvements to function in the sun belt IF they ever wanted to be there in the first place. Now as to your comments, I had no idea that there was a publication called stadium Journey having to do with the pros and cons of the stadiums in this country. If it is your job to grade them than so be it. That would give you a reason. I bow to your expert judgment. I want my opponents to make it look like they care about football and their vision of the future of their football team. If what you propose, or suggested, comes to fruition, how in the world will EKU sell that stadium to its prospective FBS recruits, especially if they don't have something on the drawing board for a move up?
