Uhhh yeah I will. Because that’s the point. Win games or GTFO. So if you win, congrats you are doing your job. If not, thank you and good bye
Maybe we get lucky and get another Mack Brown or Satterfield, or get unlucky and get a Mike "It ain't working" Working. Crap shoot with the limited resources we have. Just hope for the best whether he stays or not.
Mack Brown- one season 6-5 and bolted without even having a team meeting before he left. No thanks.
But brought us Sparky Wood who brought us John Settle. Net win,
Working '82 his last year, my first year at APP
I've always given credit to Brown '83 for bringing in Settle and some other good players that laid the foundation for where we are today. Not to Brown for the foundation, but the players. His recruits set Woods up for success.
Woods '84

Settle was headed to Duke, but they fired Red Wilson and Brown got him, just verified it with ViewCrew87 - he had classes with Settle, and saw him carrying the football around campus when he fumbled once.
Anthony Downs anchor of the D line was a recruit too
You just have one side of the story. UNC recruited him the hardest. Settle's dad a minister discouraged him from attending there. Duke was late to the show. John's parents steered him toward App.

Sparky did not stay long. He bolted to USC with out even a formal binding contract until he was there for a few months.

JCline is still upset he can't drive up to Conrad Stadium 10 minutes before kickoff, park behind the asbestos field house, pay $5 and sit at the 50.

I see you can read my signature. And where the hell did you get this idea? However I do wish I could get a seat for a big game for less than $200. Don't you?
I see somebody tailgating on Stadium Drive in Silver pull behind camper (far left bottom of hill). They were ahead of their time. I even bet they didn't charge for parking back then. Some folks yearn for the good old days.

Great job to Clark and the team. They have gotten it together.

And I am very happy for them.

Big Win, Big Turnaround the last 3 games when it seemed like the bottom.

Double Helping of smoked Crow and a double Augustiner to wash it down.

As the man said, 'It runs through Boone now!"
