Also we were/are very lucky to have kept both our big men from last year….. probably won’t happen this season unless we pay them more.

The second half showed what could be , but isn’t. It takes two halves. As someone who puts a lot of time and money into the program, it’s frustrating to the point of making me have second thoughts. Just venting.

That is a pisser of a game to lose. Most college bball teams can play good for a half…. that’s what ODU did today. They smoking from 3 in first half… like 50% . I really wish we did a better job of playing 3 defense in the 2nd half. Dodd is a beast.. I remember people on here saying I thought Dodd would be a 6 man. He may be the best guard in the SunBelt. Also thought Kerns did a heck of a job in the last minute plus. It was a winnable game. I thought when the score was where we were down by two that the first option should have been for Dodd to take it inside. We would be saying something different if we had hit that three. ODU has good talent despite several close losses.
Dodd absolutely has improved. Been one of our best players. We’re essentially running a 7 man rotation now as it seems Clarke Njock and Brim are out of the rotation. Hopefully we don’t get worn out down the stretch.
Great 2nd half effort but we were asleep in all facets the 1st half.
As of now, Banks is the 6th man and Moodie in to spell Wilson/Marcus. Clarke will get 5-8 minutes usually. Njock and Brim may get minutes depending on situation, but think you are right about primarily a 7 man rotation. We’d probably only do 6 if all our guys had super endurance and stayed out of foul trouble.
Which is interesting because I thought Kerns said we had a legit 10 man rotation in the offseason. Wonder what changed.

Well, Knock is not played well enough to be in rotation. Too slow on O and D. Brim needs more time to develop.

Think Vasser was figured in the 10. Guessing Njock, Moodie, Clarke and Moodie rounded out the 2nd 5.

What a great season it could have been if Vasser healthy and Banks has of played at preseason 2nd team level .

We need to spend the rest of the season getting banks comfortable for a three. If he were to find his stroke we could win the tournament...without him we dont have enough scorers. He has to find his stroke.

I was thinking Neal would have been in rotation as well. Still have no idea what happened with him.
