Haven't been all that impressed with Cobb on several fronts. A few years at the Atlanta Sports Council, Peach Bowl, Georgia Dome and the fourth guy at NC State isn't exactly eye popping experience. He gets way too much credit for the attendance bump in football. Anyone with a rudimentary level of competence would have prospered with Peacock in charge. His handling of the basketball situation was atrocious and the athletic facilities enhancement plan left App with a poorly designed, piece mill looking facility that cost far more than it should. He & Beasley botched the CUSA deal and his extremely unprofessional and down right idiotic remarks about the SunBelt almost cost us that opportunity. About the only thing he has handled correctly was the Jerry Moore situation. But the search for the new coach was not exactly on the up & up either. He has the personality of a brick wall, is not very polished and does not speak well in public. App could do a LOT better and I won't be sad the day I hear he is leaving.

Well stated! I don't necessarily agree about Coach Moore and the facility being piecemeal, but I think that's all in the eye of the beholder now. Otherwise I think you stated the general feeling I had. I admit I have limited knowledge about it but it just seemed to me he was riding success instead of creating success.
