Here is an interesting name from App State's past I hope the new coach will take time to give a phone interview:

Ahmad Smith - was on Houston's staff at App before coaching in Ireland. He's currently on staff at Charleston Southern.

Yes. I really like McMahon and think he'll make a great head coach, but last time was the time to hire him. Now is the time for a new group. We can't complain about the state of our program while continuing to hire within the same gene pool because we're familiar or comfortable with certain people.

When you are shopping for a Cup Car built by Hendrick MS, and find out you can only afford a Waltrip Toyota....after you start looking...It is ok to have looked at and even test driven a Chevy....for those of you criticizing CC.

Frankly I like the Fox hire and the time and effort CC put into this decision!

He knew he HAD to get this one right, no doubt.

Although I have been critical about CC's hiring process and his declaration that our next coach would have a winning record as a HEAD coach and with Sunbelt experience, I do hope that Coach Fox can get this program turned around in the classroom as well as on the court. We deserve to have a quality program in BB as well as the other sports that we field. It is great to hear the accolades from the others outside of our program for Coach Fox. Time will tell and I for one am hoping for the very best. Good Luck Coach Fox and welcome to AppNation.
