Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Seems pretty evident we did not have the talent to be competitive at many positions last year.
Good luck to DL is trying to build back, I'm not very confident we'll have the talent across the lines to be much more than maybe a bowl team. But that would be an impressive step in the right direction.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Satterfield left drink a Ferrari. Drink left Clark a BMW. Clark left Loggains a Geo Tracker. A bowl appearance and victory is a solid expectation level for right now. That could change based on fall camp and the non-conference performance.

Probably the same ones that are loving the hire right now.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 6:06 amBut, but, but

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Being accused of being biased is still better than being jaded and petty because someone is performing in a job not to your liking. All the while knowing that you couldn’t do it any better, but it affects my ego so therefore I have to shout down anyone that supports someone hurting me.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Being petty? Like how Clark pushed for Everts to be fired because she wanted to fire him in 2023? Or maybe it was when Clark cussed out Sofield after failing to qualify for another bowl game? Probably not a good idea to make so many enemies with people who pay your salary. “Petty”.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 7:32 amBeing accused of being biased is still better than being jaded and petty because someone is performing in a job not to your liking. We're all on the same team here and want our coaches to succeed. Let's not let it get so deep where accounts make up fake death threats on the board.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Does anyone know what QB is currently in the lead for the job?
I'm sure DLo will let the battle go beyond summer camp before naming someone but based off the spring game/practices, does anyone have a hunch?

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Take it for what it’s worth. JJ Kohl looked like the best QB at the spring game. AJ Swann was the first QB on the field, so it would appear he was in theory QB1 at that point.
I think both could do very well for us.
GO APPS!!

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
It’s hard to say. They rotated guys in and out so much that it was hard to get into a rhythm of consistency. I’d say it’s likely between Kohl and Swann but only because they are Loggains’ guys. I was impressed with the freshman Gillon, He could be good with time, but he wasn’t a Louggains’ guy so who knows.

Beat out several top tier G5 and mid tier P4 teams. UCF thought they had him.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Landing the talent is one part of the equation, which is looking up so far. Getting the kids to buy into the system and gel as a unit is another.
I will continue to temper my expectations of what the 2025 product will look like. And please understand: that isn’t a slight against this staff/players; it’s still early days and a lot still needs to go right before kickoff in August.
