He essentially said it comes down to money. He reminds us of the $ that the Group of 5 currently gets from the CFP. He was non-committal as to his support. Talked pros and cons.

Basically said it's an interesting thought and there are positives and negatives to both sides. He details some of the issues with trying a playoff like this such as how to handle the teams and bowl not involved, and does this impact CFP payouts. He said he has already heard feedback both for and against.

Well it was pretty clear that he says 1. we have a money problem going forward and 2. a playoff may not be an all bad idea. 3. both of these things need a lot of study as does the bowl system.
