Re: Polls this week
The best possible outcome from all of those losses ahead of us. Now - with SHSU and GSU playing FBS games (which they've dropped us for losing), and NDSU, Mont St., ODU and UNH playing tough in conference games (3 of those against other playoff contenders) maybe we'll get lucky and move up even higher in our bye week!

Re: Polls this week
I was thinking eighth in next week's poll. What happened over the weekend, and the resulting poll should cement us into a first round bye. A seed may be a stretch, but we were unseeded in 2007, and played every possible game at KBS, due to upsets and our large guarantees. Hopefully, history can repeat itself.

Re: Polls this week
As I mentioned in the other thread, we'd need some people to lose and some that are playing FBS teams to drop because of that (like us with Florida).
GSU has been projected for a 4-5 seed in some places, if they lose badly, along with others ahead of us losing and we get the autobid (just think that looks better in committee's mind), we could get a 5 seed. But a lot has to happen.
Do think currently we have locked a playoff spot and probably the 1st rd bye.

Re: Polls this week
I think we are locked into a bid, first round bye and a home game. I really see no scenario that would give us a national seed though, which is fine by me.
We played well down the stretch, got some tough wins and earned the chance to play for a title. After a rough start, that is all you can ask for. If we didn't stumble out of the gates we'd be right in the conversation for a seed but frankly, if you get run off your own field by The Citadel, you don't deserve a top five seed.
If we want to go to Frisco, we will likely have to hit the road on the way barring some playoff upsets. Either way, I am very excited to see what this team can do in the postseason.

This team seems to play better on the road so might not be a bad thing!asumike83 wrote:we will likely have to hit the road on the way barring some playoff upsets.
