I love good news! She's really worked to build a solid program, and the work is starting to pay off in the win column.

Great news and well deserved.

Re: Angel gets 4-year extension
Her current bald pate is not related to the cancer at all. She has an autoimmune disease called alopecia. Alopecia is not contagious or nerve related. Most folks with alopecia are otherwise quite healthy. Sometimes the hair regrows and falls out again. As Angel's hair fell out, she decided she'd just rock the bald look rather than having the "falling out" look.

That's awesome...what I'd call a win-win situation that's going to create more winning! She's a fighter, leader, winner, and a just a great person. Congrats coach!

Thank you for getting everyone up to speed. Many, many of us have been concerned and afraid to post a question online. Everyone's been walking on eggshells, communicating by PMs and hoping and prayng for her well-being. We thought we'd have been apprised of any new, negative diagnosis but there was still that nagging dread of the unknown... This is tremendously good news!
Angel has done amazing work with her team of young women. What a difference a year makes. Wow! Looking forward to the '19-'20 version.

Re: Angel gets 4-year extension
I, too, was wondering what was going on. I believe it was one of the Sun Belt tournament games in which the announcers were telling Angel's history of endometrial cancer and how the alopecia was a totally separate issue. It was easy to hear how impressed the announcers were with Angel. We're blessed to have her as a coach.asu66 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 4:31 pmThank you for getting everyone up to speed. Re: Angel gets 4-year extension
Any information released regarding the terms of the contract and the raise that she (must have?) received? I have not seen any numbers attaches to the reports.
I am glad that she accepted the extension and hope that she will continue to stay with App to build our WBB program.
