Open Practice

Unread post by InFor6More » Tue Mar 03, 2020 1:56 pm

I received an email this morning that indicated there would be a practice held on Saturday, March 21st that will be open to the public. I’m sure more information will follow but does anyone know if this event is intended to take the place of a spring game and if there will be any activities that small children would be interested in?

I haven't officially heard anything other than the date but I'm imagining this be very low key this year, what with all the construction...not just at the stadium but the new dorms and elsewhere in the vicinity. They might include a meet and greet with the players, kids playing on the field, that type of thing after practice but I'd be surprised if it's any more than that. That having been said, the baseball team will be playing at 4:00 pm so the timing makes for a perfect March day in Boone. Get up the mtn for practice, head to lunch at your favorite establishment, and then head up to Smith Stadium to support the Diamond Apps.
