Many of us in the Charlotte area remember Kilgo and Kilgo's Kanteen. I believe his brother was John who was a Tar Heel dude and also announced UNC-C and Davidson games.
I remember once when, John was announcing either a Niner or Wildcat hoops game on 610 that he was remarking about the Apps having a huge crowd in Varsity that there was nothing else to do in Boone.
Anyway, prayers for Jimmy's family. He was a good guy and his bio brings back some great memories. RIP.

Hate to pile on but why on earth is this an added topic? It’s bad enough when threads get started that simply mention stuff we’ve already seen in the news or on ESPN but to create one that is about a guy who died two years ago?
