This has been building for the last week. It's been really bad every day with sudden downpours.

A tourist asked me if it always rained in Asheville. I told him I wasn't sure since I've only lived here 31 years.

Is complaining about the abundance of rain in July a sign of the apocalypse?

Hard to say, but 20" + at Hound Ears since June 29 seems apocalyptic!

I don't know but it sure does suck. It's ridiculous and water problems everywhere.

I read that here in the flatlands of York County we'd gotten almost 7" of rain so far in July. The article said that would be equal to 65" of snow! Can you see these sandlappers with that much snow?? Talk about vapor lock and brain freeze all at once!!!
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.
