Defensive Preseason Awards
Lots of new faces on defense this season including some talented transfers in the secondary.
Who is your defensive MVP?
Who is your breakout player?
Who is an under the radar contributor?

Re: Defensive Preseason Awards
Nate- D MVP
Joshua Donald - breakout for us since we just got him in spring
Brendan Harrington- I know this seems an odd pick considering all that he has proven on the field but coming off of two years of injury missed football (for different injuries) I think anything we get from him is a bonus.

Re: Defensive Preseason Awards
MVP - The Great Nate - stats may be interesting as I believe he will be focus for offenses so number of times double teamed on pass plays when he rushes may need to be a stat

Breakout - Farmer as new
Under the Radar - Harrington as long as he is on the roster, I will pull for this kid. His performance is measured on the field, on the sidelines and in practice.

It will be interesting to see how teams block that side of the line. Double teaming either Nate or Hopper leaves the other to run free.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 5:35 amMVP - The Great Nate - stats may be interesting as I believe he will be focus for offenses so number of times double teamed on pass plays when he rushes may need to be a stat

To mix it up a bit. Favors MVP of Def. Although, I am excited to see Hooper as breakout at DE. If Donald is good and Harrington plays to his potential , we will be dominant. Am I too confident?

Re: Defensive Preseason Awards
I don’t think that is too over confident. Hopper and Nate being on the same end creates a lot of problems for the offense. I think that all 3 NTs are good. The scary thing is that we could rotate as many as 6 different guys into that spot and be OK. Harrington is my all-time favorite guy. He’s a warrior. He will get some situational snaps but his true value is in his leadership.MusicCityApp wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 7:29 amTo mix it up a bit. Favors MVP of Def.
