It should be no surprise that we both are going to get everyone's best shot as a going away present.

GaSo lost this one on turnovers, it appears. They got cocky after beating up two cupcakes and didn't execute against a legit Wofford team. I am not as positive as some seem to be that the SoCon is down this year. OK...it probably is down a little, but there are still some legit threats. We knew that GaSo would be a problem. Most seem to have discounted Wofford because of turnover, but they seem to have reloaded pretty well. Samford, Chattanooga and The Citadel could all be legit threats. It does appear that Furman and Elon are down. WCU is improving, and showed some fight against The Citadel but it remains to be seen if they will take a step.

I do think that App and GaSo will get EVERYBODY's best shot this year. If we play the way (I believe) we are capable, we can run the conference. If we play like we have teh past two weeks, it's going to be a long season. I vote for the first option!

I agree! I think some of us are stuck in the past when saying a team was Big South or MEAC meant it would be an easy win for any SoCon team. Both conferences seem to be up. It really is hard to get a read on whether, or how much, the SoCon is down vs. others being up because both seem to be possibilites. The good news is that is precisely what makes college athletics fun to follow. Things are very hard to predict from year to year and trends can reverse very quickly.
